Often times when we talk about having a habit, it is usually regarding something that may not be good for us. A habit is an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary. There are two types of habits. There are the doing habits and the not doing habits. Both types of habits can be either positive or negative. On your path towards success you need to be very aware of your habits.
It's very natural for us to create habits. There is an old saying, "We are creatures of habit." However, what we need to be aware of is whether the habits we have are adding to our success or taking away from it. So, are your habits keeping you stuck and holding you back? Or are they moving you towards the success you desire? If you have not accomplished your goals or you are not where you want to be, then there is something you need to do or stop doing. The good thing about habits is that they can be changed! It may not be easy depending on what the habit is, however, if you are willing to change the habit; it can be done with determination and perseverance.
Now is the time to start creating some new success habits for yourself! Create new success habits! Make a list of some habits you believe are keeping you from accomplishing your goals. Write down the reasons why you need to change that habit. Is it hurting you or someone else? Is it causing you financial hardship? Create something that will remind and motivate you to change the habit (i.e., a motivational quote, an affirmation to say every day, or a picture of your child).
"Never permit failure to become a habit." -- William Frederick Book
"First we form habits, then they form us. Conquer your bad habits, or they'll eventually conquer you." -- Dr. Rob Gilbert
"The victory of success is half won when one gains the habit of setting goals and achieving them. Even the most tedious chore will become endurable as you parade through each day convinced that every task, no matter how menial or boring, brings you closer to fulfilling your dreams." – Og Mandino
