Do What You Love to Do! An introduction to finding your life's purpose

You may be familiar with the children's television show "Little Bill", which was created by entertainer, Bill Cosby. My 5 year old son watches this program from time to time. I often talk about a particular episode where little Bill has conversations with his family members about what their "thing" is. His father loves listening to jazz music; jazz music is his thing; his mother loves photography; photography is her thing. While watching this episode, my son said "mommy, what's my thing?" I said, Well, what do you love to do all the time? He said "make contraptions!" I said "well, then making contraptions is your thing!"

I have been an entrepreneur since I was a teenager. I always had the desire of having my own business and helping others. I've had many businesses. However, it wasn't until I started coaching people to help them accomplish their dreams and goals, that I realized that this is my "thing." I'm very passionate about helping people to get the results they desire! It feels so right and so natural. It's my "thing"! I am so encouraged that I have been blessed with the mission to help others succeed!

Everyone wants to be successful. However, there are many people who say they don't know what their life's purpose is. The answer to this question is right inside of you! We all have strengths and we all know what it is we love to do. So, What is the thing you love to do the most? What makes you excited? What is it that you really enjoy? These are the questions you need to ask yourself first to get a good idea of your mission or life purpose.

In order to discover your purpose, you may find this simple 5 step process helpful:

1) Stop looking for the answers outside of you. It's very possible that the thing that will make you as successful as you want to be has not been created or heard of yet. Look within!

2) Make a list of 10 things you love to do. Once you have completed your list, see if there is something there that you can start to build on towards your success.

3) Tell at least 5 people what you love to do? Tell them what brings you joy; Tell them what you do that just seems to come naturally to you; Tell them what you love doing so much that hours can go by and you don't even notice? By talking about it, you are not only affirming what you are interested in, you are also getting excited about it yourself.

4) Think of at least 3 ways you can share what you love to do with others. Please realize that there are people who have the same interests as you do and are seeking the value that only you can offer them in the way that you do.

5) Do what you love to do! What are you waiting for? Get started! Help and support is available for you! The more you communicate what

your goals and plans are, the more likely you'll achieve them. Think about who can best help adn support you and be specificwith your request.

You are a creative human being. You have talents, abilities and skills you haven't even tapped into yet. Please be aware of this!

"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." -- Howard Thurman

Money Does Not Guarantee Happiness Money Does Not Guarantee Happiness - Very good point. In the opening of Upping the Downside by Mike Jay, the first chapter mentioned that the buying power in the US had grown by 3 - 4 times since the end of WWII - but the number of people who identify themselves as happy has decreased noticeably during that time. I meet people who don't really have a "purpose" in life and its sad to see them floating along, rarely being happy or even satisfied with their lives, but they don't know how or won't do anything to improve their situation. The book I mentioned is about resilience, but so far there is some very great information about finding purpose and finding out what we should do with our lives. Chris
Brokering Equipment Leases Brokering Equipment Leases - We were thinking of brokering our own leases for the software that we sell, and perhaps other equipment that chiropractors need, but we've had a hard time finding what seems like legitimate companies to work with on this. Does anyone know anything about equipment leasing brokering and could hook us up with a reputable group that would have access to lenders for this purpose?
