Start From Now!

There is a Buddhist term, Honnin-myo which means from this moment on. It expresses the concept that every moment is a new beginning. No matter what has gone on in your life up to this moment, if you are ready to be successful, now is the time to make a fresh start. Sometimes we let things from our past hold us back from having the life of our dreams. Please realize that you have the potential inside to have the type of life you aspire to.

To be successful, you must make a decision to just simply get started. Will mistakes happen? Will obstacles come up? Possibly - however, please remember that mistakes and obstacles only come to help you grow. It doesn't matter how many times you try something, you can always start over again. Michael Jordan is a basketball superstar because he started over and over again. Many other successful people have that "start from now" spirit. Do you?

The ability to accomplish your goals and dreams is inside of you! Realize that you already have the ability! You may not know right now how it's going to come about, and that's okay.

Believe, trust and have faith that it will happen. Start from now!

From this moment, start taking action towards your dreams and goals. Make two fresh new action steps towards your success. There are people in need of the services you offer. Write an ad regarding your business or services. Start that article, short story or book you've wanted to write. Just simply get started!

I think the reverse is also true and I wouldn't want to work for anyone I didn't like or want to talk to if I saw him/her outside of the office. In addition, Kawasaki also says "Steve Jobs has a saying that A players hire A players; B players hire C players; and C players hire D players...This trickle-down effect causes bozo explosions in companies. If there is one thing a CEO must do, it's hire a management team that is better than he is" ("The Art of the Start" pg 101). Kawasaki's quote is definitely in favor of hiring the ambitious worker, but do most CEO's even have the humility to admit that someone is better than them?
