What are you feeding your mind?

You've probably heard the saying "You are what you eat". Have you ever noticed that when you are eating healthier, you tend to feel better? I definitely have! I have had a weakness for chips, dips and fried foods. When I manage to stay away from those foods and eat healthier, there is a tremendous difference in how I look, feel and act.

I have learned that the same thing applies to the mind. What you put into your mind has an effect on your whole life. Watching the news can often cause you to worry and keep you in a constant state of fear. Also, being around certain people can keep you in a negative frame of mind. If you find yourself in the presence of anything that may not be helping to move you to a higher level of success, do what you can to remove yourself. I'm not suggesting that you stop watching the news altogether and I am aware that you may not be able to avoid some naysayers; I'm simply saying to be mindful of how you react to or hold on to the information you are receiving.

I would like to challenge you to pay attention to what you are eating mentally. What are you feeding your mind? Are you reading about how many people were killed today? Or how there are no jobs available and participating in gossip? Or, are you reading positive material? Are you listening to inspirational music and watching motivational movies and videos? There is a saying that goes "Whatever you think about you bring about." Please focus on bringing about a healthy, wealthy and positive successful life!

Re: Will North America make carbon taxes anytime soon? Re: Will North America make carbon taxes anytime soon? - Well I recently started to work at a solar company in Ontario, and business is booming. The Ontario government is doing a great deal since passing the Green Energy Act. This is where the government is buy the energy you produce. 80 cents for kwh. A lot of people in Ontario are putting up solar panels on their roofs, and feeding back the grid green energy.

It gives me a moment to write honestly about whatever I am thinking, so that all the nags or doubts or concerns that are running in the back of my mind can be recorded for me to look at later and then do something about. It helps me clear my mind so I can be more productive during the rest of the day.[/quote:2m412tap] Excellent idea, but still good to write your tasks down. This frees your mind up to concentrate on each task you work on without having to use part of your mind to remember what still has to be done. MichelleJ
