Free Download - Good websites! By Paul Furlong |
One very common mistake made by many website design businesses is to give you a website that is far too busy & confusing. What is your website for ....? It's actually an ad for your services & products right? Now depending (like every marketing campaign) how well that ad is written is how much response you will get & how well that ad will work for you! Now most website companies started out as graphic designers (& that's fine) however there is a big difference from graphic design to actual marketing. What do we really want a piece of art or a marketing campaign that sells. Well in actual fact it probably is ok to combine a little of the artistic however if you were to choose between a masterpiece of art that gets little response in actual sales & enquiries or one that looks simple but works well for you getting the phone ringing & emails coming in with enquiries & sales. Which one would be more beneficial to your business? The latter obviously right?....YES!!!! Now many websites have too much happening, to much movement & distractions. You need to lead the potential customer simply & directly to the information or picture (in fact both) that attracts their attention as to the subject that they searched. That means your landing page needs to have powerful & clear headlines & pics leading them straight to the area that they want to know about. You also need to have clearly displayed ON EVERY PAGE a contact us button & your phone number in site always.
As far as headlines... a smart ad (website) will have powerful headline that attracts the interest of the person the moment they land on your website along with a picture that speaks a thousand words. To then get their attention & keep them interested a value offer or coupon, discount deal is very useful in getting a response & leading them to take action with you!!
More to come.
