What da ya want? Just a little respect. That’s what the song says and that’s what you hear from many who have done whatever it takes to keep business up and running during the past three years. Many have foregone raises and taken on tasks from those left or, more likely, let go. The economy is improving but is management giving a little r-e-s-p-e-c-t to its employees? Employment experts suggest that nearly 65 percent of all employees are currently looking for a change. Ask yourself: Am I doing everything I can to retain my talent? One thing we all can do is show respect by taking the time to praise those who contribute not only to our success in business, but also to our survival.
