Do you make your clients feel safe?

Make your clients feel safe.

If your clients don't feel safe - they won't buy from you. And they won't tell you why. It's not enough to be safe. It's not enough to show them statistics or brag about your fool proof systems. You must make them feel safe. When your clients don't feel safe their fear kicks into gear. Fear is the biggest obstacle to buying.

How can you make your clients feel safer?

Make them feel safer by building trust. You build trust by demonstrating that you can be trusted.

Can you name the things that you do to build trust? More importantly, are you aware of the things that you are doing that might destroy the trust of your clients? Telling people to "Trust you." does not build trust.

What can you do to demonstrate trust?

Use these ten techniques to demonstrate and thus build trust with your clients.

Anticipate the need to deal with their fears.

Respect their concerns and fears regardless of how trivial they seem to you.

Display testimonials from your satisfied clients.

Offer guarantees without weasel words.

Offer a free trial or money back guarantee.

Use language that your clients understand.

Display your awards and certifications.

Prove your claims.

Be consistent.

Be accessible.

No product or system is 100% dependable. So being safe and feeling safe are not the same. It's your job to make your clients feel safe. When they feel safe they will buy more from you.

Make your clients feel safe.

From what I've heard, pretty much everything we do on our cell phones or internet is filtered from the top down. Who knows? The technology is definitely there to make it possible. Supposedly they do it to keep our nation safe, but sometimes it just crosses the line too much for me.[/quote:2rrdft2b] Mary you are right, today nothing is safe, your internet provider, cell phone company, google and other SE, all know exactly what you do, when and where. Michelle, nothing is safe anymore, the best you can do is protect your PC with antivirus and spyware, it's not riskier than shopping online.

Re: Need some information on freelance jobs! Re: Need some information on freelance jobs! - [quote="Mal Tindle":352tnn4o]Hi Evan, Thanks for the video, you have made some excellent points there, I especially agree with your suggestion that we should add value wherever possible. Many of the training classes that I run (my day job) are on subjects relating to Health and Safety and First Aid etc and many of these courses are a legal requirement. So to add value, I make a point of writing or calling my clients when their present certification is about to run out. I also send a report from each course advising of who attended or not and when the earliest course is for those who didn’t make it to come back. My clients really appreciate this because quite often in their own busy lives they have forgotten or just don’t know. These are just a couple of ways that I try to add value and stand out from other trainers, as many of them don’t do this. This is easy recurring business for me so I can certainly relate to your video. thanks again, Mal.[/quote:352tnn4o] Mal I like your thinking, not only are you bringing more value to your clients but it is also a great way to build a relationship with them, and people are always happier working and learning from people that they feel they know.
