See It Happen

See It Happen

See It Happen! Visualization Life does not consist mainly, or even largely, of facts and happenings. It consists mainly of the stream of thought that is forever flowing through one’s head. - Mark Twain As you become aware of the invisibility of creation, you can become a scientist to understand how to make yourself more aware of your creative abilities. It’s now time to pay real attention to the world; it’s alive. In other words, science says, you use knowledge and experience to build a larger, more expanded model of thought for greater experiences in life. You question what if? What are the possibilities? How can I do that better or differently? How do I make miracles happen? What does it take to make the extraordinary, common in our lives? This is an internal reality that science explains through the process of brain function.

An architect knows all the angles, geometry, design, layout, and is a master builder. He takes the vision and translates it into a design (blueprint). Then the contractors proceed to build the home.

The frontal lobe of the brain is where pictures (Current, as electromagnetic energy) are stored, as knowledge in the brain. The brain uses a process for generating and transforming energy into reality. You can think of a vision as a mental matrix, blueprint, or model. Then take this holographic matrix or blueprint and transform it with the aid of electrical stimuli (neurons firing in the brain). You need to charge or animate its form with energy (emotion), chemical-constructs (hormones), and memory from the hypothalamus.

The more expanded the emotion or character of the vision, the more energy will be required to bring it into the physical world. Using first the vision or intention, then concentrated focus to expand or charge the vision with energy. This brings forth more intense desire. With this desire, comes the commitment, which transforms the emotion (energy) into physical force and action.

Remember biting into a fresh, juicy lemon? Is it only an idea in your mind? Talk about an understatement! The truth is, our minds are tremendously powerful and the pictures we focus on produce results in our lives, whether we like them or not. The realm of ideas is the inner world of thought, imagination, intention and feeling. Things, places, and circumstances are the physical environment in which we live, our actions, objects and events. Dr. Charles Garfield became fascinated with peak performance in his work with the NASA program, watching the Apollo Eleven astronauts rehearse everything on earth, again and again in a simulated environment before they went to space.

Olympic athletes imagine themselves doing each move to perfection and then standing on the podium receiving the medal around their necks or going to the big game. Bruce Jenner, Nancy Kerrigan and a host of others have publicly talked about the pivotal role visualization played in their achievements. If visualization techniques have such a powerful impact on the performance of these class athletes, imagine what it will do for you and your success personally and in business!

Have you ever daydreamed about being on a romantic, Caribbean Island, under the shade of a tree wafting gently by the ocean breeze? Have you pictured yourself having a conversation with Donald Trump or being interviewed by Oprah? Everyone daydreams at one time or another. What is the next step to taking a daydream to a reality?

You need to know your end result. If you want to be a great watercolor artist, see yourself as one. Visualize your work displayed in the best galleries around the world. Visualize raving reviews of your work by famous critics. Visualize yourself in your studio, creating works that are uniquely your own. Your subconscious will do the rest.

Art collectors. See yourself joyously creating a masterpiece. Involve your emotions and all your senses. Do not just see the picture, hear it, feel it, live it, be it! And make sure every single thing is what you really want, not something you think you have to do. Make it alive!

Here are a few stories of clients to illustrate that your visualization needs to match your emotion and your intent.

Betty visualized a new automobile. The existing one quit. She didn’t have any money and was worried. She visualized a new car and had absolutely no ideas if it really could happen. Betty got into an accident, was hospitalized, and recovered. The settlement paid for a new car and the hospital bills.

My story: I visualized a 350SL, red, convertible. Each day, I walked out to the driveway and saw it there. I visualized touching it and admired it so. I landed a my dream job heading up a research project in Santa Fe, New Mexico and had to move from my newly built home which I totally visualized into fruition. I leased my home, and wouldn’t you know it—the renter had a 350SL red, convertible sitting in the driveway. I didn’t get inside it once, in my visualization.

A third client’s car wore out. It just quit. She had no money to replace it. She visualized and prayed. She saw herself driving a vehicle that was good transportation, easy on the gas mileage, and was fun. She had an unexpected call to help an injured family member for two weeks. When she returned home, to her surprise – sitting in the backyard was a shinny, blue beetle—Volkswagen. She opened the door and in the glove box was the key, the ownership papers in her name and insurance paid for one year.

Which scene would you choose?

Visualize Forward:

Visualize yourself doing whatever it is that you wish to do. Bring in great detail as if you had arrived at your chosen destination. Want to start a new business? See yourself on opening day greeting new customers, making sales, etc. One of the most legendary examples of Actor, Jim Carrey's devotion to visualization was when he made out a check to himself for $10 million for "acting services rendered." In 1990, when he was still a relative unknown, he had postdated the check for Thanksgiving 1995. . "It wasn't about money. He said if he were making that much, he'd be working with the best people on the best material. That's always been his dream. If you give up your dream, what's left? The really amazing part is that just before Thanksgiving 1995, Jim Carrey signed a contract for $10 million.

Visualize your Goals already completed:

What would you be doing with your time?

Who are your powerful clients and referrals?

How many? How often?

How much money, satisfaction, gratitude, treasures have your created for yourself?

How much can you afford to give away to your favorite people, charity, etc?

Visualize any forecasting:

Ø Use the same technique as above, except instead of a goal. Begin to create a plush meeting room, several comfortable chairs, a table.

Ø Invite prospects in and have a conversation with them about their needs and desires.

Ø Invite leaders, experts, or friends in any field and ask questions.

Here’s a fun one.

Throw a dinner party and invite anyone, alive or dead.

What would the conversation be like? I thought once to invite Douglas Baker, Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawkins, Jesus Christ, David Receniello, Oriah Mountain Dreamer, Gene Roddenberry and Lucas for a dinner party to discuss a movie to help model playing a bigger game.

Visualize your Speech/Presentation-- Rehearse:

Dr. John Gray, author, Men are from Mars and Women are from Venice, boldly used his visualizations. His subconscious mind could not tell the difference between the "reality" of having 70 people attend a seminar and the visualization John did of having 3,000 people show up to hear what he had to say. As a result, the subconscious mind, believing it to be true, acted on that belief and as if by magic, manifested the huge crowd!

Ø See yourself before the audience.

Ø Present yourself and your information with style and grace, or bodacious and funny.

Ø See the heads in the audience nod in agreement.

Ø See the (x number of) smiling faces and the enthusiasm.

Ø Hear the applause.

Ø See the back end sales…

Ø See the new clients Ø See the next engagements Ø See the next products Visualize your successful day:

It’s time to start your day, what time is it? You get dressed, what are you wearing? You open your door to business, where is it, what does it look like? What do you do all day? See satisfied customers/clients. See yourself at the end of the day; knowing you did your best. When you retire for the day, you rest comfortably. Create your day -this is a great exercise to do each day, before you start your day.

Commitment takes us across the bridge to action, planning, execution and feedback. Commitment is the will to go for what you want and the willingness to let go of things that keep you from getting it. Then the action occurs; those steps you plan and initiate. Then you have the experience. After the experience, you can build a better model. Take what is known about your experience and using that to make it better. Each time, you create a better model or an evolution of your experiences and models of thought you create a better world.

What are some ways that you can use visualization in your life or business?
