What to do if your business feels stuck

Entrepreneurs, if you still struggle to get enough clients, have positive cash flow and be successful, you could be getting in your own way and not even realizing it. Or maybe you do realize it but you don't know how to change it. Even if you did know, you might be too scared.

I talk to people everyday who call me for help with their marketing or business focus. They know things aren't working. We talk and begin to peel back the layers and by the end of the conversation they hesitantly admit that they are scared to really face their fears, and self-doubt. Have you ever felt like this?

• Worry if you charge a too much people will feel they're not getting their money's worth.

• Feel not good enough to work with high paying clients.

• Feel uncomfortable having a vision that's too big.

You really have only three choices:

1. Do nothing, keep struggling and envy other people who seem to be doing well.

2. Quit your business and get a job where you don't have to deal with your inner demons. The steady paycheck has it's value.

3. Decide to do whatever it takes to move out of your comfort zone, stretch, grow and be willing to trip, fall and then get up again.

This is what makes one person grow a lucrative business and another one stay stuck. It is that decision to step into number three and do whatever it takes to become a leader of your business, develop a much larger vision of what you are creating and overcome your inner fears that hold you back.

If you are reading this and thinking that you are an exception and have no inner demons, you are wrong. Even the wealthiest, most successful people have them. It's the parts inside that gravitate to staying comfy. Everyone has a default that is set at “comfort zone.” It's like your comfort food that you like to eat when you are feeling vulnerable. My comfort default is deadly for my business. It's the part of me that says, “You're tired, you've had a full day so just go to sleep and you can write this later.” My inner leader says different. I need to keep this deadline because what I am writing tonight is part of a bigger marketing strategy and a much bigger picture.

Are you ready to see your larger vision?

Are you ready to face your fears and go for it anyway?

Are you worth the investment of time and money?

Hopefully you have said, “yes,” to all three and you will do whatever it takes to make it happen. Here are three ideas.

Talk to a mentor.

Go away for a retreat and get some new insights.

Enroll in a program that will help you shift.

The worst thing is to do nothing or keep doing the same thing that isn't working.

Re: What are your April Goals? Re: What are your April Goals? - Forums over the years have given so much. I have been stuck for a solution on numerous occasions and found a wealth of knowledge within forums that have accellerated my learning curve. Unlike if you were to ring say a technical support line to get tech specs, it on the whole feels like extracting teeth to get to the answer. So when you become part of a community like this, it is like a breath of fresh air.
Re: THE Most Important Concern At Startup Re: THE Most Important Concern At Startup - Does the business model fit what you want to do everyday? That is a very important concern at startup. You may have a fantastic product or service, but do you want to be stuck in a store every day or pounding pavement or talking to vendors etc... what will you be doing every day? That is key, if you don't like it you won't do it well.

Website Name Help Website Name Help - this was supposed to be posted in the business name topic but i clicked the wrong button lol but this its own topic on itself also... I wanted something international, and something unique since a lot of names are taken. So i came up with Azima which in arabic means Will and Determination. The only problem now is the website. Azimainc.com is taken and so is Azima.com. I am starting a business solutions company, so Azimabs.com is out of the question obviously. I registered Azima-intl.com but dont really want to use that...Any ideas for websites lol. I'm kind of stuck and i don't want to print my business cards unless i have something concrete for a website name.
