In business and in life we innately seem to feel that the best way to succeed at things is simply to work hard at them. Yet at times when change is thrust upon us we discover that there are ways of using our energy to give us outstanding results and which require very little effort. There is often very little relationship between effort and effectiveness!

For some there comes a time when you find that your business/life can become all consuming! You find yourself without purpose and direction - tending to dwell in the reactionary rather than utilising your prospectively single greatest asset to serve your life. As Michael Gerber says "Your life should be your only business - your business is not meant to be your life"

Actually discovering your purpose for being can be a life changing event! It is all about a whole new perspective. The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes - seeing in a whole new way. Purpose and meaning do not inherently exist in our lives, we put them there!

Having purpose in life is a constant direction, an inner fire of meaning that drives you. When you start living your purpose, all of your values will come into line around a single focus. Everyone has values whether you are aware of them or not. We all have talents and abilities and we all have different ways of giving the best of ourselves. Our purpose is the combination of all three.

Therefore what you actually do in life is far less important than the focus and intention that you give to it. Everything that you have and everything that you are is an extension of you.

The more you live and fulfill your purpose the more meaningful your life becomes. When we discover and live our purpose we get an unshakeable anchor deep inside ourselves. This helps us to have the courage, tenacity and capacity to play with life and to experiment with our gifts talents and abilities. We literally go way beyond ourselves and get to discover ourselves as a greater person than we ever imagined before.

Your purpose could be world changing, or it could be life changing!!

To discover and live purpose is to become a more effective, dynamic and committed human being. Your team trust you more and you start to discover the extent of your abilities rather than being limited by your perception of them.

Fulfilling your purpose is to live without regret. In our final hour we can truly say "I gave the best of myself!"
