How to dispose of negative people in 7 simple steps

“The Life given to us by nature is short…but the Memory of a Life well spent….is Eternal! (Cesaro, Greek Philosopher)

This gives us a compelling reason to dispose of people we can no longer deal with. They’re toxic, they’re negative, and they are sucking the life out of us. It’s time to let them go. Let’s create a “Life well-spent”, shall we?

Step 1: Be very clear as to what is causing your disdain and final decision to dispose of this person.

Step 2: Consider what’s at stake. What do you have to gain? What do you have to lose? (Your sanity? Your self-worth? Your sense of well-being?)

Step 3: Why now? – Reflect in past tolerance so you won’t do it again, with anyone.

Step 4: By when are you letting this person go from your life?

Step 5: Physical and emotional steps to take to say your final good-byes. In other words, this is what happened, and this is what I’m doing about it! Be intellectually aware and competent in your decision making process to make this a closed chapter in your life. Think of what will happen if you don’t!

Step 6: Who are you listening to? Be sure to buy into your own story and not someone else’s. Be honest, have an alternative plan, have a friend with you…and finally…..close the Door!

Step 7: What have you learned from this experience? The answer will amaze you. The lesson will forever be yours to have, to hold and to apply, as you journey through a “life well spent”.

When you dispose of someone toxic, you allow yourself to create room for someone else who will be good to you and to your business. It's important that the awareness level is raised to the point of how much both aspects of your personal and professional lives are affected.

Make room for the growth of your business to increase the happiness of your personal life!

Re: Newbie Re: Newbie - Hi rocket33, I've started growing an interest in SEO. Mainly because I've seen the simple steps I've taken make my site jump up to Page 1 of Google. It's addictive when you get results like that. Welcome to the forum. SEO is a moving target and having someone with their finger on the pulse will make this Forum even more invaluable - I look forward to the discussions.
Serious Problems for Younger Folk Serious Problems for Younger Folk - It's a big problem, people not taking you seriously. As a child, I was always much more mature, and I was on my own working as a writer in my teens - at the time most people were a sophomore in highschool. Still, I am considered very young to be doing what I do. These are a few things that I've found that have helped me out a lot. 1. Always act like a professional. No matter what comes up, always be a complete professional in the situation. If you act like you're an old pro, people stop looking at your numbers (Age), and start looking at your brains. 2. Consider dressing older. I'm not saying you need to wear ugly tweed, or your pants too high -- never wear a simple tee shirt, or tennis shoes. A suit and tie, or likewise, a tasteful skirt/jacket combo with light gold jewlery and low pumps, can make all the difference in the world. 3. Plan ahead. Always, always, always, have a game plan, a backup game plan, and possibly even a backup for your backup! Lots of young entrepreneurs like to rush into things - projects, meetings, presentations - without a plan, or thought to it at all. 4. Realize that you have a disadvantage. People, by nature, aren't going to take you seriously if you're just-out-of-high school, or just-out-of-college, with no real-world experience. You always have to be two-steps up from everyone else, and if you know this, you can use it to your advantage. And, of course, 5. Be an expert! Stay up late, know the lingo, know everything you can about your field. Go to every event you can find to learn and network, and stay on top of your game. Good luck! ~Marie
Re: 7 Top Blog Design Tips Re: 7 Top Blog Design Tips - Hi Tyrone, Great tips! I think these tips can be applied to any web page, as the same rules will apply to them as well. As webmasters we should always be trying to improve or enhance the look of our sites/blogs and make sure that we are attracting and keeping as many visitors as possible. The best thing I think you mentioned was about creating an "About Me" page and posting a picture of yourself. People like to know that there's a real person behind the site. It makes them feel more comfortable and allows them to trust you more. David, thanks for posting about Bravenet.com. I haven't heard of them, but I had used a simple script at one time to do the same thing.
you need passion/desire and sustainable persistance you need passion/desire and sustainable persistance - sounds over simplified, but to me it has been very true. starting a business should be more about starting a big life change towards something that you have unwaivering passion and desire to do. the truth is you will never know all you need to know to start the business your a starting. the truth is there are many things that will test your resolve to starting your business. from simple things like making the time to do small tasks or making personal sacrifices like spending less time with your family. i've also come to learn that starting a business is about sustainable persistence. ensure that you can continue to sustain your current responsibilities while taking small steps towards your business everyday. most often, i'd say don't quit your job. assuming you have bills to pay. sustain your ability to take care of those bills while taking those baby steps towards the business you desire. in the end, nothing is overnight. it's more like being a farmer. planting seeds of thought, nurturing them, weathering storms, and working hard everyday with the risk that there may not be any fruit. here's where the passion and desire come in. because if you really are passionate and desire your business idea, you will have no problem re-planting those seeds and starting over again. here's where sustainable persistence comes in. if you disregard your responsibilities in pursuit of your dream business and it doesn't work out, you don't want to have to sell the farm. selling the farm or being put in position where you need to put all your focus on just surviving puts you further away from your dream. think long and hard about that passion/desire. make sure it is true and sincere with your own DNA. if it is true. you will succeed.
