Do you notice that everything listed has one important thing in common? Everything listed is a type of idea. Like - flexibility, positive attitude, generosity – these are your values (and ideas about money). These ideas are the most important things in your life. Why? Because you would do just about anything to achieve them! Simply put, they are who you genuinely are – no matter what is happening or not happening in your life your values remain a constant!
Sometimes it just takes a little exploring to come to some wonderful realizations of what your true values are. The reality is that most of us know who we are and what is most important to us, we just need to take the time to clarify it through identifying our values. When you take the time to do this, you come to understand if the way you currently choose to live your life is compatible with what your personal values are when it comes to money. If your money values are not compatible with the choices you are making in your life, it will not be possible to live a prosperous life.
I truly believe through personal experience that most people unconsciously adopt their thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors about money early on through their childhood experiences. By taking the time to sit down and identify your money values and then set goals for yourself based on them, you will be putting yourself on “automatic ascension” to reach your dreams. Meaning – it will be a heck of a lot easier to succeed in reaching your dreams if your values don’t conflict with them! Identifying your values is probably one of the most effective tools that you can use to help lead you in this lifetime to your fullest financial and life’s potential!

As a financial teacher with a holistic approach, I seek to outfit my students with all the essential tools they will need in order to have a long wealth, healthy, happy, and fulfilled life! One of these tools I teach is ‘values’. When you properly identify and equip yourself with your “values tools”, you are clarifying what is most meaningful to you about money. Pioneering a fantastic financial plan for your life begins with knowing your values and how they are directly linked to your authentic financial and life goals. Getting organized to begin your personnel financial planning means taking the time to really understand what your values are when it comes to your money. Think of it this way; identifying your values with money will act as your compass. Once you align your values with money, you will ignite your personal evolution of becoming more of who you really are. Just like a compass, your values will never steer you wrong when faced with challenges toward achieving your financial and life goals. Creating a prosperous life is not just a hike, but a journey to new ways of thinking, believing, and behaving with your money that effect every area of your life.

Bernard ReberBack in late 1992, MS Access hit the streets. About that time the company I managed needed new software to handle their growing client base and I decided to try this new product. I had little difficulty writing and adapting a database to suit us and discovered a hidden talent for programming. A business was born. With business studies and 25 years of management experience in three different countries under my belt, I could offer a unique combination of skills and my customers agreed. From these humble beginnings my software 'invoiceit' emerged in 1999 and has since been taken to 49 states (hello Wyoming, won't you join us?), all across Canada and more than 70 other countries. From the very beginning the program included cashbook accounting, the simplest form of keeping financial business records. The Dictionary.com defines 'cashbook' as "A 'book' in which to record money received and paid out". For 'book' substitute 'simple software' and that's what I'm about. Now I have published Simple Accounting, an inexpensive spreadsheet solution which even you can master. For just $14.95 it costs less than a takeout meal!
