Here's a shortcut you might not have thought of...

Keeping your computer neatly organized can help you find programs and files much faster.

You may already know that you can create desktop shortcuts for your frequently used programs... doing this prevents you from having to scan an entire list to find the one you're looking for.

BUT did you realize that you can do this with FILES or DOCUMENTS, too?

For example, I have a particular Word document that I use during every client intake interview. Instead of having to dig for it in my files when I need it, I've created a shortcut.

For PC users, it's a simple process. Here's how:

1. Open the folder where the file for your document is stored.
2. Right click on the filename you want on your desktop.
3. From the menu that pops-up, choose "Send to:"
4. From the secondary pop-up menu, choose "Desktop"

That's it! The actual document maintains its storage spot in your folder. And the shortcut can be easily removed once you no longer need to access it as frequently. It's a simple little "shortcut" that will save you a few seconds each time you sit down to work.

Why this matters...

I know today's Quick Tip is a simple little thing, but people spend HOURS every week repeating common actions and hunting for lost items. Taking a few seconds now to set up shortcuts for the files you KNOW you're going to be using often is a very little thing that adds up over time.

Recommended Books? Recommended Books? - Hi Kevin Just a thought, have you ever thought about placing a section on your homepage called "Recommended Books"? It's often a known fact that people will be interested in what an expert recommends and could possibly increase the popularity of particular book reviews that you might like to promote more than others. Let me know if you've thought of this before or not and if it worked. Kind regards TheAnonymousMan

Re: Alexa Ranking Goals Re: Alexa Ranking Goals - [quote:3677euc7]It was fun, following people I know and watching to see if they would recognize me, or even follow me back.[/quote:3677euc7] I actually thought it was the official Twitter account of the MyAffiliatePowerSite. I thought maybe Jeff Casmer added me from it since I am pretty good friends with him. I was way off.
