The Art of Asking Better Questions For Better Clarity, Focus and Greater Wealth

The Art of Asking Better Questions For Better Clarity, Focus and Greater Wealth

During a recent game of Scrabble my son doesn’t want to seek the answer to how to speak a word, he just wants to know the answer.

When was it that we stopped seeking more answers by asking better questions? Very small children ask question after question and don’t look for someone to give them the answer. It seems to me that sometime in elementary school we stopped asking questions and started asking for answers.

An smart entrepreneur knows that “seeking” details and choosing products and services based on inspiration AND viability is a necessity to their success.

When a business owner come to me with a question about what they should or not invest in, I turn the questioning back on them and ask them if they can ask a better question of themselves.

And my results from this questioning fall in one of these three categories.

1. Some become stumped.

2. Others will make a statement on why they should do it.

3. And then the minority will ask some other question in relationship with the idea. Whatever their answer, they realize they don’t have enough information to make a very important question about their own business.

The Law of Polarity

Bob Proctor was the first mentor that taught me this concept. The universal principle means that every up has a down, every left has a right and every question has an answer. I became intrigued and started to really look at the questions I had about my business and in my life.

It wasn’t long before I realized that a question is an energetic opening for information to be received. And my mind was willing to seek out an answer. Then you can use that answer to ask yourself a better question and so on until you obtain more clarity and focus around the idea.

Try it the next time you get stuck!

Re: Clarity Trumps Persuasion Re: Clarity Trumps Persuasion - Jeff, Thanks, great stuff !!! Clarity or "KEEP IT SIMPLE" is probably the best advice anyone can ever give or get when involved in any business or personal situation. Over 30 years of manufacturing ladies apparel has taught me two critical business lessons: 1-You will never get a 100% perfect outcome so In the BEGINNING,take your time, exhaust all your resources and energy and plan, plan, plan. . . If it STARTS off right it you'll get close to the desired outcome. 2-Keep it simple I now will add "Clarity" to my formula for success. CLARITY AND KEEPING IT SIMPLE BREEDS SUCCESS . . . . I know the advice above is simple but isn't that what it's all about. Thanks Ringo, This information not only was great for my website but it reminded me that "keeping it simple and clear" got me and my teams through some wicked situations Best wishes Barry

It's not so much that it's new information, but their presentation simply reaffirms in a concise way what we know about marketing and sales conversion. Clarity trumps persuasion indeed!
