The Art of Being Present: How to Manifest In The Moment

Many people think that they're living in the present moment, but if
you really stop to think...are they? Are you? What can you do to make sure
that you're present? Here are some simple tips to get you in the
moment...and get you living better because of it!

First, try this. Pick a present moment and describe it. Describe
everything about it. How does the air feel? Is there a certain
smell in the air? How do your clothes feel as they touch each part
of your body? Do you taste anything? What do you see? Notice
everything that you're aware of. Begin every sentence with: 'Right
now...' or 'At this moment...' or 'Here and now...'.

Warning:  You can have resistances to this exercise. So just notice
and write down any difficulties or resistances that may arise. Be
AWARE of these issues and put them aside. Now, transfer this
exercise to...exercising! Think about your resistances to exercise,
get in the present, and describe how you feel!

Journal: If you don't know where to start, use these questions. Why did you
start the exercise when you did? Were you tired? Angry? Did you go
blank while doing it? Did you daydream or wander off? How long was
it before your mind wandered off?

Energy Tools for Embracing the Present Moment:
Now what do you do to get back on track? The first thing that I like
to do is use "stop thoughts." When you're having a negative or self-
destructive thought, just tell yourself to STOP!

Imagine throwing those negative thoughts into a mental blender and
scramble them up! Sometimes I even write the thoughts in a journal
and "capture" them in the closed book. Whatever helps you to move
past these thoughts, do it! Get rid of them and move forward immediately.
Get in the present and create the life that you want. Think of it like
this...an hour from now is only a fantasy. And an hour ago is only a
memory. The present is what you have to create now. Do it!

IMPORTANT: When you do this "getting present" exercise, you don't
have to do this sitting still. Do it at ANY time! If you think
about it while taking a walk or even doing the dishes - DO IT! The
more practice you get at being present, the better!

BREATHE...CONNECT...FEEL the present moment with all 5 sense!

Anxiety is usually about tomorrow. But things feelings such as boredom,
impatience, and annoyance can cause anxiety because you're
preventing a full experience.

Always acknowledge these feelings and the STOP them...and move on!
I know it sounds basic, but it really is that simple! The only thing
you can control is your own thoughts and reactions, so get to it!

To re-acquire the full feeling of PRESENCE is an experience of
tremendous impact. And you will definitely know it when you get
there. Don't fear it...just BE with it. The present is your present!

Re: Welcome New Moderators in Addition to Our Fine Team! Re: Welcome New Moderators in Addition to Our Fine Team! - Hello everyone, and Thanks for the introduction Ringo! This is going to be a great experience for me and for everyone in the community. I hope to learn a lot from you and I know there is something I can share with all of you. Past, Present, Future. Before I started my own business I worked in the north Canadian oilfields drilling for natural gas. I worked long hard hours and spent a month at a time away from home. It's when I started to burn out that I realized that there is more to it than wasting my life, secluded away from civilization and the people I cared for most. A friend of mine introduced me to a business opportunity which not only offered me the chance to fire my boss and walk away from a less than perfect lifestyle but it gave me the chance to make an income that was more than sufficient to support me and my fiance. I pounced on the opportunity like a cat on a mouse. Since then I have been working from home helping others break away from their "less than perfect situation" by mentoring them in the ways of marketing. I will continue on this path teaching, helping and coaching until I'm to old to use a computer. I feel honored to have this opportunity to share and grow with the community. I look forward to talking to you all. Dallas.
How To Build Great Pillar Content For Your Internet Business How To Build Great Pillar Content For Your Internet Business - I’ve found that a successful Internet businesses must start with a solid foundation. As I’ve seen, most Internet businesses will integrate a blog onto their website and start to build a solid foundation of pillar content. Pillar content or pillar articles are posts that are written to help a consumer establish what your Internet business is all about. What Is Pillar Content? This termed was first coined by a famous blogger called Yaro Starak at his website Entrepreneur’s Journey. Yaro provides the following detailed definition: “A pillar is blog content, usually an article, which does some very important things: * It will bring in a rush of new readers and backlinks (other sites linking to your blog). * It will continue to bring in more readers over time as you and other people refer to it, even though it may be buried in the archives of your blog. * Eventually it will bring in traffic from search engines (this is largely because so many other web pages link to it). * You can list it in a separate area (like an articles page) with all your other pillars so your best content can easily be accessed and your value clearly demonstrated. * It is not time dependent, so in twelve months’ time it will still be relevant and popular.” Why Is Pillar Content Important? Looking at the bigger picture, pillar content is your foundation of your Internet business as it will continue to bring consumers and readers to your website. You may think that just having a product or service to sell is all that’s needed to run a successful business. Not quite so. Consumers today are very hungry for information and want to know more about your business. Therefore providing pillar content relating to your products or services can add value for your consumers and generate more sales for you. For example, if I were selling a watch online and it had a description and listed features, it may not be enough for a consumer to purchase the watch from my site. Reason being, most people would want to read reviews from others who have purchased this watch and see their feedback. What if I wrote an article about the watch talking about the history and make of it and asked an expert to state their opinion, and had other consumers respond with comments and feedback. Then this would provide social proof and adds value to your product without the consumer leaving your site and spending time looking for more information elsewhere. Examples Of Pillar Content Most pillar content articles are longer than 500 words and have lots of practical tips or advice. There are many different forms of pillar content you can create and I have listed some examples below for you to apply to your industry: 1. How To Article - shows people how to do a certain task or instructions on building something 2. Definition Article - defines a term in your industry 3. Present A Theory Or Argument - writing to present some unique thought 4. Release A Significant Resource - a report, podcast, video 5. A “List” Article - it’s very easy to scan and share. Can be a top 10 list or action points 6. Technical Or Visual Guide - a screen capture presentation or how to fix something using a video presentation. It is also a very detailed step by step blueprint on exactly how to complete a task. Pillars I’ve seen how effective pillar content can be for any Internet business and I recommend you have at least 10 pillar articles on your website before marketing to consumers. That way you’ll provide them with something valuable to read and also gain their interest to come back again. If you can write an article each day using the above examples, then you can build a very strong foundation for your Internet business. Tyrone Shum Pillar Article Writer
