The Art of Clarity: The Opportunity of “NO”
The Art of Clarity: The Opportunity of “NO”
Imagine your time is worth $2k an hour and you would receive that money when you say, “Yes” to opportunities within the big picture, but that amount of money would be taken away if you also said, “Yes” to an opportunity that you accepted that wasn’t to fulfill the bigger picture. And often times you said yes to fulfill an emotional need such as immediate money, love or recognition – yikes!
When I started my first business I was making vegan skin care products, coaching and teaching yoga. And then one day someone said, “Jen, when you try to chase more than one rabbit – you usually don’t catch anything.” And that is exactly how my life was going. I wasn’t catching any clients worth catching.
Once I became really clear and congruent with my inner business vision, I knew what I needed to say yes and no to. It wasn’t long before I was attracting what I wanted in my business and ultimately enjoying the business creation process.
As a business coach, I can’t leave without asking you a few self-coaching questions:
1. How would your decisions change if you only said yes to the big vision?
2. Can you spend your time differently?
3. How can you invest your time in your bigger business vision?
4. What would your life look like if you always said “Yes” to the vision and “No” to everything else?
The personal development process of becoming congruent isn’t the easiest, but I invite you to question yourself more. Start a personal discovery journal and find out why you do the things you do.

Oh, forget about the “YES” Man movie. Today, is the day to be a “NO” man. Just say no! In order to run a business you love with peace, passion, purpose and flow -- you must say “NO”. You see… your time is your greatest currency, so you must utilize it by saying no when it won’t help you grow.
