American Rejection - Successful entrepreneurs must ignore the experts!
American Rejection - Successful entrepreneurs must ignore the experts!
Crazy isn’t it! Now don’t feel bad for Simon, he was all ready making millions a year from his other shows in England. But I can imagine he felt the same way you do now if your a successful entrepreneur pursuing your dream and getting shut down from the big boys. As Simon proved “American Idol” was a good idea and Fox thanks him everyday and even if they don't he gets paid very well. So this is just another example of a great idea shunned by the so called experts. This is more proof that your idea and your dream is good, regardless of who shuts you down.
They key is don’t let the big boys get you down when they shut you down. You may need to tweak a few things or wait for better timing or even find someone who can tweak Daddy’s ear. But do not give up if you truly believe in your dream.
As Sir Richard Branson recently said " It's easy- too easy, in fact-to relinquish your responsibility for your idea to experts. This is almost always a mistake, because experts are only experts in their field, not your idea. The only person qualified to assess your idea is you!" If you want to rate Branson as a successful entrepreneur he would have to be in the top 5. One of Branson's biggest business successes to date is his growing airline, something all his partners and investors tried to talk him out of doing.
Watching your ideas and dreams get shut down is simply a part of life but it does not have to keep you form making it happen anyway.

Did you know that American Idol was turned down by every major network! That’s right every major network told Simon Cowell to get lost! Luckily Rupert Murdock’s daughter heard about the pitch and pulled on Daddy’s heart strings and he talked Fox into picking it up.
