DON'T BE AFRAID

Guest post by: Danny Creed

Article Overview: The world is full of naysayers and people who choose to listen to and believe the media induced mass economic hysteria. Is it really as bad as all the "experts" say? In many ways that's up to the individual and one things is for sure....if you want to be a successful businessperson in to days marketplace, you can't believe a word of it. You have to step out in courage and take some chances and if you do, you might, just might get so far ahead of the competition that when things do get better (and they will) you'll be the dominant leader in your field! So, Don't Be Afraid!

DON'T BE AFRAID

I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again…today, right now, is the greatest time in history to be in business for yourself! There are more options available to us every second, more opportunity available for us every day and more potential inside us than ever before. Now is the time to take some chances and do things we never thought possible. For those of us that are willing to take the leap of faith the odds are actually in our favor. One of the elements working for us is simply that so many others have a bad attitude. So many people are mired in the quagmire of uncertainty and an incredible lack of personal worth. Tie this with the mass fear of the future. These issues are caused by false perceptions and media induced fear and emotion! Believe me I see it every day in my business coaching practice. People who are losing their business simply because they are too worried about the “What If’s” of the world.

But all this negativity and self doubt leave more room for those who believe in the possibilities. This is the rare individual who sees the world quite differently. These are people who somehow fight through the perceived woe of the world and sees the same world as one where the glass is ALWAYS half full…with promise and opportunity. These people still allow themselves to dream and are among the estimated 2% of our society who have meaningful, written goals. While many are cowering in fear, there are those who are running the race and getting a massive head start on all of the competition. So when things do get better…and history says the times will get better, some will just be at the starting line while a few others will already be charging ahead.

It’s really simple my friends. You are what you think and believe. One of my favorite quotes that I use in my business coaching practice is Henry Fords, “If you think you can or you can’t….You’re right!

If you haven’t figured it out yet, life is short! We only get one shot at this one and it’s up to each individual person as to how we live the life we live. We can be fearful and pessimistic or hopeful and optimistic!

Today IS the greatest time in history to be in business. Take that step out in courage and have no regrets. Mark Twain once said, “Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Amen brother, Amen!
