The Action Habit And How It Helped My Internet Business

The Action Habit And How It Helped My Internet Business

Have you ever said to yourself “I will do that tomorrow when it feels right”

It could be anything from, going to the gym, working on a college assignment or doing some work on My Internet Business.

You probably said to yourself you did not do these things because you were not ready, well the thing that sets you apart from the successful is that successful people take action before they feel ready.

Don’t get me wrong I still am developing this myself, it is not easy but once developed becomes as easy as it was to not take any action.

So how do you develop the action habit, my number one tip would be to take action every day however uncomfortable it feels, the more you do this the more comfortable it will become.

When you take action everyday you will move closer to your goal which will then become easier and easier, why ? Because like anything that you repeat this taking action becomes a habit and once you get a habit you do not even think about it.

One example I can think of which explains this well is when I first started out as a sales person one of my duties was to do presentations in front of clients, when I first started out I would tell my mentor “Let me watch you do the seminar two or three more times and then I will be ready to do one on my own”

What I was saying to myself was this feels really uncomfortable I do not feel ready and because I kept delaying my turn I made myself feel even more uncomfortable, it is a bit like the flight or fight response which we all have in us.

The quicker you jump in and start taking action the quicker that it becomes a healthy habit.

When you then start to achieve your goal your body rewards you by releasing serotonin your brains happy chemical.

Take Action Every Day

Small Steps towards your goal

Do not wait until you feel ready

Step out of your comfort zone

Develop your new action habit

Using these tips have helped me to move forward day by day in building my own internet marketing business.

As one famous person said although I have forgot his name “Argue for your limitations and sure enough they’re yours”

Re: Who inspired you to start? Re: Who inspired you to start? - Hi Evan, I was inspired by Mr. Bill Gates ever since I was a student learning Computers. But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time. So I took over to the Internet as my primary business. Regards,

Re: Have You ever helped a complete stranger? Re: Have You ever helped a complete stranger? - Yeah I have helped complete strangers on many occasions. Given lots of money to homeless people. Given rides to people I don't know. Helped people carry things when I could see they were struggling with it. Bought several people I don't know meals at restaurants when it was obvious they needed some help. And many other things. I wouldn't consider myself to be a saint but I have no problem helping strangers when the situation arises. I've also been helped before by strangers many times but I can't think of any specific examples right now.
Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? - Hi Kevin, I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.
