Develop These Attributes For Achievement
Develop These Attributes For Achievement
Have you ever noticed that some people achieve significantly more success than others? And that they do it with less effort and frustration? There are abilities or skills that we can develop in ourselves or our people that help lead to this.
It's these abilities or attributes that enhance a companies intellectual assets. The intellectual property of a companies' people, large or small, is the single most valuable asset they have. Companies that manage and develop intellectual assets outperform others that don't. It's as simple as that. I'm talking about personal development. If you want to break into, or remain in the outperform group, read on...
Have you ever thought about what attributes are necessary for your job or your role? Or what attributes are necessary for your team?
Here are 5 attributes that if you chose to develop will help to lead to greater success for you or your organization: (Based on the work of Dr. Robert Hartman)
Attention To Detail --How do you see yourself as executing your job responsibilities? Is it as good as you would like? Is 'good' good enough? This is magnified more than ever now. Could you do more in terms of being thorough?
Conceptual Thinking --Is there anything you need to be doing differently to more accurately predict outcomes of your long-range plans? How well do you identify and evaluate what is necessary to execute your long range plans? This enhances your ability to get unstuck or to get up that next mountain quicker.
Creativity --This is appreciation for new ways of thinking. Is it difficult or not difficult for you to come up with unique ideas of how things should be done? What have you done differently lately? Such thinking can be beneficial to a business.
Flexibility -- What is your ability to be open to new avenues? Can you change with minimal resistance or do you become locked into a rigid approach to a situation? Ideally you want to be able to change direction without significant stress or pressure.
Problem Solving -- What is your ability to assess all aspects of a problem, from identifying it to resolving it? How well do you identify alternative solutions and select the best options? If you were more creative and more flexible, would it improve your ability to manage through these times? I bet it would.
The Challenge Rate yourself on these attributes. Then, choose which of these attributes you would like to be better at and turn them into goals. Then watch your enthusiasm, productivity, and results soar!
Would you like to discover your natural talents, be more fulfilled and satisfied, and reach for your peak level of performance? Would you like to see how adept you are at the above talents and others that are crucial for your best performance in your role? Do you depend on non-talents in your role that are leading to frustration and lack of results? I have a unique profile that will assess your individual and personal attributes which describe individual potential for workplace performance. You can gain a new awareness of what your natural talents and skills are, and how they can best be applied in the workplace to make you more successful with less effort. Contact me for your free assessment.
