Going For The Big Finish

A quick story... on a green and blue planet called Earth, there once was a human who really, really, really wanted to get something amazing in life. There was lots of excitement in the dreaming, and then in the planning and preparing, and then the launch of the whole thing... it was incredibly exhilarating! And then, as time went on, it became evident that it was going to take more than what was originally known, there were more challenges than accounted for in the beginning, and time seemingly slowed down in the middle of going for the big goal.

In fact, time seemed to slow down sooooo much that the person seemed to be moving underwater. And then, just before the big breakthrough, the person gave up, surrendering to what felt like was the inevitable, and quit - just before crossing the finish line because it seemed too far away.

You've heard that story before, right? Maybe you've even lived it... experiencing the agony of defeat while you're still in the middle, and then never reaching the end. Or maybe you do actually reach the end, but you're so exhausted that you don't really get to enjoy it. Or the end isn't what you thought it would be, so it's anti-climactic. Or you get just close enough to see the finish line, and you decide that's good enough and there's no need to go any further. Any one of these scenarios is enough to suck the life right out of a person (much less all of them at once!).

And that's why you've got know how to go for the big finish in the most efficient, focused and clear way possible. This year is sliding by fast, and it's vital to keep up your energy through the end. You've got to know what you're going for and the best way to get there - including conserving and allocating precious resources and, ideally, having more fun.

So first off, you've got know exactly where you want to end up - what is the result you want? Without definition, you won't know when you get there. However, that also means you have to know where you are when you start... after all, you can't plan how to get to Los Angeles unless you know where you are when you begin your journey.

Then, set yourself up with 'clean' sources of fuel, or energy. Surround yourself with positive people, a friction-free environment, and good nutrition physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Think what would happen if you put sludge in your car's tank - you wouldn't get very far. That is the same dynamic that you want to prevent for yourself as you go, so be sure to take in clean 'fuel' for cleaner, more efficient results.

Third, pace yourself for the whole journey so you can handle the unexpected as it comes up. Sometimes it's easy to start out strong and then fizzle out, but there are professional racers who actually start out slow and wait for the last push to break out their turbo speed in crossing the finish line. Whichever your strategy, you need to be consistent in using your energy and resources to sustain you for the whole journey.

That being said, fourth, remember to replenish yourself often... consider your car again; that is, if you didn't fill your car's gas tank regularly on a cross-country road trip, you'd make it through maybe the first leg of your journey and that would be about it as you ran out of gas. The same goes for you - if you need to fill up, take the time to do it so you can keep going for a big, strong finish.

Sixth, be prepared to adapt to what shows up for you along the way. To do that, you'll need to trust that there's a bigger opportunity in the challenges, and that you are being invited to become more resilient and to follow what presents as you go. If you stayed fixed to the original plan, you may miss an important part of the magic in your journey.

Seventh, stand your ground. That is, adaptation is important but at the same time, don't compromise yourself or what you want. Flexibility is good, but only when it doesn't cause you to feel like you are losing out, giving up or somehow diminished in the process. This requires you to 'know what you know', firm in your wisdom despite outward appearances. Additionally, the opinions, reactions or expectations of other people cannot influence what you know; your choices and decisions must come from within you throughout your push for the big finish.

Numerologically, the number eight is the symbol for harvesting what you've sown. In this case, the eighth point means taking responsibility for what you're creating in order to finish strong. You can't avoid being accountable for what you've created; nor can you hide from the greatness that is yours. Either way, you are the only one who is present all the way along the journey and, to enjoy the big finish, you have to claim it.

Lastly, no one is an island and that includes you. Honor the people who are helping you along the way, because it's a lot more fun to celebrate your big finish by sharing it with the people you know and care about. Sometimes the inspiration of that moment is enough to pull you through that final push to your big finish... as you honor others, you are so honored.

So, your big finish is waiting for you right now. Keep going! You've got the plan. Most importantly, get ready to claim your "something amazing" reward because you are just about there. (And if you listen close enough, you can probably hear the distant roar of your fans getting ready to celebrate your big finish.) On behalf of the other humans on this green and blue planet...go, go, GOOOO!!!!

Make millions with this software Make millions with this software - I am starting a new thread with this email, I received from Mike Dillard a few months ago. Though I have posted it as a reply to a thread, but I believe it will be good to post it as new because Earl Nightingale used it. Napoleon Hills used it, Andrew Carnegie used it and it is your free of charge. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ So as promised, I’m going to reveal the secret weapon I use on a daily basis to achieve incredible results in business. It’s a piece of software that has built my entire little empire brick-by-brick, day-by-day… It’s not DeamWeaver, Outlook, Front Page, 1ShoppingCart, or an auto-responder. No… I’m afraid to say that it’s just as lame, and yet just as important as the secret I revealed yesterday. When I look out across this industry and throughout the community members at MagneticSponsoring.com, I see two kinds of people… Those who have made “execution” a daily habit, and those who have not. Here's what I mean by that... Many close friends and associates have noticed that I’ve acquired one particular trait over the years which has enabled me to achieve some incredible things. It’s not that I’m smarter than anyone else, or that I’ve had better opportunities, or that I’ve had more money to start with, (which was definitively not the case). They all say it comes down to one thing… “Mike, what makes you different than everyone else out there is that once you have an idea, you actually sit down and do it”. To be honest, that never really occurred to me, and it made me stop and really think. I just took it for granted that if you have a great idea, you freaking do it right? But most people don’t. They have an incredible idea and think about doing it. Day’s go by. Weeks go by. Months go by. Before they realize it, they’re still sitting in the same position they were a year before. I don’t think about things, I do them. I have an idea and I execute that idea one little step at a time each and every day until the project is complete. Success is not a destination, it’s the result of a pattern of habitual behaviors. That’s why you can take someone who’s had a track record in one field, and move them to another with the expectation that success will be achieved again. It’s not the job, the business opportunity, the new marketing system, or the product that resulted in their success… It was their daily habits. They were “do-ers”. There are successful people and unsuccessful people in every company – all using the same tools, the same websites, and the same system. The difference is found in their daily habits. So how you can you transition from a “thinker”, to a “do-er”? Well that’s where my little secret software weapon comes into play. This little gem has been crucial in creating my habitual pattern of getting things done, producing millions in revenue in the process. It’s called “WordPad”. Also known as NotePad or TextEdit for Mac users, it’s that little program that opens up to a blank white page and just stares at you with a blinking cursor at the top. You write text in it. That’s all. It doesn’t do anything what-so-ever, or even check your spelling. Yes I know… Another big let down just like yesterday right? Well here’s why this program is so valuable to you… It’s your new boss. Every night before I go to bed, I pull up my Word Pad file which I save as “To-Do.txt”, and I write down five tasks that I must complete the following day in order of importance. For example, here’s my actual “To Do List” for today: To Do List: 1: Write and send MS newsletter. 2: Update Adwords campaign. 3: Run new headline split-test. 4: Finish Chapter 4 in “Building On A Budget”. 5: Return prospect phone calls and emails. 6: Read a book. Now here’s what’s so magical about this process… If you make your list the night before, you’ll subconscious will have all night to think about it. The moment you wake up, you’re on task. You already know what your goals for the day are. You’re focused, and by starting your day with this focus and this purpose that’s already laid out for you, it allows you to ignore the onslaught of distractions that come with each new morning. You’ll find that if you don’t have your To-Do List waiting for you in the morning, that you’ll get side-tracked immediately. Life happens. It gets in the way. And unless you take back that control and focus, it will prevent you from accomplishing anything. This is the deadly trap you must avoid at all costs that's preventing you from achieving the results you want. Above all other things, this little process of creating my To-Do List each night using nothing more than Word Pad, as allowed me to create the Magnetic Sponsoring empire. That massive new community site we have with over 14,000 pages of content was created one step at a time by my little Word Pad file. The new Magnetic Sponsoring 3.0 System? Yep… Created by Word Pad. It’s the most powerful piece of software in the world. And here’s my challenge to you… Make a commitment to use my method for 30 days, starting tonight. Before you go to bed, make your list of 5 tasks that you MUST complete by the end of the next day. They must be actions “tasks”, not goals. If you do the tasks, your goals will be accomplished automatically. Don’t put… 1: Sponsor a new rep 2: Get a new customer 3: Read a book 4: Etc… If sponsoring a new rep or getting a new customer is the goal, focus on the tasks that will result in that goal like producing 20 new leads, and contacting previous prospects. 1: Send out a press release. 2: Send a newsletter to my list. 3: Add 3 new AdGroups to my PPC campaign. 4: Talk to at least 5 prospects. 5: Read Chapter 3 in “MLMTrafficFormula” If you do this without fail for 30 days, you’ll be a completely different person, and you’ll have made more progress in one month, than you have in the past 12. Hey… I just had an idea… I’m going to set up a forum post for this and name it the “30 Day Challenge”. As you adopt this new pattern of habits, post your progress on the forum and share your results! Thank you for your leadership, Mike Dillard
