Are Others Being "Promoted" Right Over Your Head?

Written by: Pablo Gonzalez

Article Overview: As we are getting deeper and deeper into our current state of economic recession, the jobless rate steadily increases. For those are fortunate enough to still be employed, promotions are becoming more and more a thing of the past. It isn't common to hear of promotions within the corporate office. Are Others Being "Promoted" Right Over Your Head?

As we are getting deeper and deeper into our current state of economic recession, the jobless rate steadily increases. For those are fortunate enough to still be employed, promotions are becoming more and more a thing of the past. It isn't common to hear of promotions within the corporate office. What is uncommon to hear are promotions at the lower levels of a company, those that are the "bread and butter" of the company, working for years to only retire and live on 40% of their earner salaries. Does that seem fair to you? Those that are able to complete the years necessary in order to qualify for retirement are now seeking further employment to compensate for the difference in salary earnings in order to survive. Those that are currently employed are stepping over each other in order to get the promotion they feel they deserve. But they soon come to realize that the promotion not only lead to a pay raise, but also a higher cost of living, driving them back to the same scenario again of trying to qualify for the next promotion and so on and so forth.

If you've ever looked up the definition of the word "Insanity", you'll know exactly how the feeling of doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result that will just bring you back to where you started feels. Bewildering enough, the majority of employees live their lives like this on a daily basis. Getting up every morning, complaining of the heavy traffic they have to endure on the way to work, the co-workers they can't get along with, the job they hate, just to go to bed and wake up the next day and do it all over again.

For many, understanding that this sort of lifestyle does not have to be tolerated can make a total difference in their lives, attitudes, and outcomes. Suddenly, being able to have control over their lives seems as something unreachable. "How can we have control over our lives when those above us are trying to control it for us?" Well I'm here to tell you that there is a way to step out of that life of insanity and take control of your outcomes. It all starts with having the right mindset and arriving at the conclusion that we are all worth more than what an employer thinks we are worth.

As for me, I made my decision. I WILL have control over my life, I WILL embrace change and do what it takes to reach my goal, and I WILL NOT depend on an employer to justify my qualifications in order for me to achieve a promotion within that company. It's time for a change. The question is whether you are going to embrace the fact that doing the same thing over and over will only give you the same results. And that YOU have total control over your life and no one else.

I want to invite all of you down the road that I have chosen to take, not only for myself, but for my family. I made a commitment to myself to take control of my life and I now am beginning to understand how it feels. And to be honest, it feels great! If you are as tired as I am about not having that feeling of control over your life, then I am willing to offer you what is slowing changing my life and what can do the same for you.

Come and see for yourself what working with an actual group of people, and to phrase that appropriately, a team of true leaders, then visit the site below and I'll see you inside!
