How to Avoid the Personal Foul Penalty in Online Marketing

As I am sitting here on a Sunday afternoon, watching my favorite sport (Football), I witnessed what in my opinion was the biggest cheap shot a player can take on one of the opposing team's players. The penalty of a personal foul is one that can be been entirely avoided and is the unfortunate result of a poor attitude. A personal foul in online marketing is when you are forcing your business opportunity to people that are not interested in a business. Most people, especially those we meet on social media, are not sitting in front of their computers waiting for the next best business to join. The use of aggressively promoting your business opportunity, especially on social media, is a perfect example of a personal foul in online marketing. As a result, recent changes have occurred to services that provide re-occurring submissions in order to avoid repetitious ads to be plastered all over social media sites. In my opinion, it was the best decision they could have made. Why? Because now a personal foul penalty in online marketing can be completely avoided if marketers choose to market their business correctly and not continue to spam their business opportunity.

Coming across to other people, as someone that always talks about the same thing, is another way to get the personal foul in online marketing flag thrown against you. No one wants to approach someone that is always going to talk about the same subject of how great his or her business opportunity is and how you should join him or her. It sort of like going to a party and seeing someone you consistently try to avoid just because they are annoying, always talking about the same thing and not being interesting at all. The same feeling begins to develop when you are consistently promoting your business opportunity and not talking about anything else. Common sense will teach us that people avoid repetition and are always looking for something interesting that will catch their attention.

The best way to avoid the personal foul penalty in online marketing is to make the decision to provide value to others. Be interesting and unique in your online marketing efforts. If you become approachable, and by this I mean be yourself throughout your online marketing efforts, you will begin to attract others to you instead of having a repelling personality. Not being unique and just forcing your business opportunity to others is similar to a personal foul in football. It is something a person is not expecting and can get you penalized for your ignorance.

The reason I'm asking is because people may not know what social media marketing is , while that would make me vote for it to learn more, but not every thinks like that. Also, online marketing could capture more attention when people spot in on the list. Shri

Those are all just "internet marketing" as far as I am concerned. And I normally would have voted for internet marketing, however I chose social media marketing simply because there are more than enough IM forums out there already.
