Almost everyone is now looking toward the “Work From Home” industry to compensate for either a job loss, financial crisis, or just a different means of generating an income. And with this in mind, several network marketers are still unaware of the correct way of finding QUALIFIED people to market their business or product to. This is the main reason we PRO’s have created content such as this article and many more to help you acquire the info you need to succeed in a home business. In this post, I want to give YOU three specific tips to help you get started on the right foot to finding individuals that WILL be interested in what you have to offer. Let’s Start With The Basic If you’re in an MLM right now, these tips are going to be GOLDEN to you. If you’re looking at beginning your venture into network marketing, read this closely! There are three specific network marketing mistakes to avoid as a beginner in this industry. And to be completely honest with you, I still see these mistakes being done by those with several years of experience. Let’s Start With Network Marketing Mistake #1: Making A List Of Your Friends And Family – Sit back for a minute and think about this. Would you REALLY want your friends and family to join YOUR business? Are they qualified to even RUN A BUSINESS? The majority of people will say NO to this. In reality, I personally only have one person in my friends and family list I would probably prospect into my business. But for the most part, non of them are truly qualified. This doesn’t mean they are bad people, or just not smart enough to run their own business. What it means is that there are only a select few of individuals that understand the commitment, dedication, overhead costs, etc., about running an ACTUAL business. Network Marketing Mistake #2: Talking To Everyone Within A 3-Foot Radius About Your Business – In all reality, NO ONE CARES about your business, product, service, etc.. What people are looking for are two things: Finding a solution to their problems themselves, not being forced into making a decision; and, someone that will PERSONALLY help them all the way through to reaching their goals. THAT’S IT! Trying to force someone into something they’re not fully aware of and don’t fully understand the whole concept of how to make money with it is only going to frustrate them further! And Finally, Network Marketing Mistake #3: Thinking That Network Marketing Is Easy And That You’ll Make Money Quickly – This is probably the mindset of 99% of new home business owners. The reality is that this industry is not easy at all! It takes time, dedication, a commitment to your personal success like no other, and a wanting to see others succeed more than your own success. “The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving.” Albert Einstein These are very simple, yet very powerful tips I can give you towards starting and/or achieving a level of success in this home business industry. By success, I’m not defining it as reaching the level of Millionaire in your specific company. I define success as reaching your true and honest goal, FREEDOM!

Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? - I've been looking at a number of different opportunities and end up meeting a lot of Network Marketing / Multi-Level Marketing people. Some of the offers look interesting but everyone I talk to about it says to avoid these guys like the plague - what's the deal? Why do people hate network marketers and MLM people so much? My initial reaction to the business was "snake-oil salesman" but once I got to understand the "overall business model" I am now an advocate to it. MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is also known as Network Marketing. I realized an MLM business is no different than any other business. One needs to focus on both words "Network" and "Marketing" and give both equal respect. Some people focus heavily on the Networking part but forget "Marketing". I've started to use Building on a Budget and Magnetic Sponsoring concepts in my NM business and have found that people don't get involved so much because of the product but more because of what you bring to the table as far as marketing systems and support. I have both products listed in my signature. you don't have to buy it as the link to the free videos itself provides you a good understanding of what is required to position yourself as my above paragraph. If you do plan on purchasing it I can tell you that the measly $40 will open your eyes BUT your upline will not be too happy (atleast in the short term) beacuse the system is not duplicateable. I wrote this post as a polar post to Bulmer's reply as I have exhausted the friends and family networking and realized i never really focused on marketing. My leads now are more qualified and open to hearing about my opportunity than the other way around. my 2 cents if you plan on growing an MLM or Networking Marketing business.
