Discouragement is the biggest reason why so many new entrepreneurs quit just before they reach their full potential. From experience, I have felt this same life-sucking discouragement vampire biting at me several times in my entrepreneurial ventures. Curiosity causes use to have this amazing survival instinct to question everything and negative thoughts starting racing thorough your head as you wonder "Why am I putting so much effort into reaching my goals but I'm yet see any results?" We have to understand that discouragement comes from the feeling of dissatisfaction. Our emotions have a tendency to tie into the results we experience from the efforts we give in reaching our goals. The dissatisfaction we get from the discouragement vampire sucking out motivation can mentally burn us out. However, here is something you probably just do not realize, everyone feels this way at some point in his or her lives. It is like having your very own personal discouragement vampire biting at your neck and sucking all the motivation and life right out of you. Nevertheless, don't fret! This is nothing a little mental garlic can't take care of.

Ensure yourself of the commitment you made when you decided to go after your goals and put some serious thought of what exactly will give you the feeling of satisfaction. Find the true reason for doing what you are doing to reach your goals. For many people, what they believe to be their ultimate goal is having large amount of money. Don't get me wrong, having money definitely helps. However, it is not the solution to happiness. You probably already know several people that profit huge amounts of money but just never seem happy and are always miserable. Even though they do not worry over having enough money, their greatest dilemma is not feeling fulfilled and are always looking for a way to make themselves feel happy. Unfortunately, they rarely seem to find happiness and usually spend their entire lives with a feeling of emptiness.

Masterminding and exchanging ideas with others that will allow you to get the true feeling of fulfillment you need in order to defeat the discouragement vampire that is just downright sucking the life out of you. Surround yourself with positive, solution focused, and already successful entrepreneurs and begin to attract their mentality. Ever wonder why one person cannot survive on their own but when two or more people combine their skills and efforts, the entire group becomes champions? The discouragement vampire tends to attack us when we are feeling alone, disconnected from everyone else. Keep yourself in communication with those that have and feel the way you want to feel.

Another form of mental garlic is to find out what you really care about that is going to give you the satisfaction you need to keep moving forward. For example, the feeling of giving and empowering people with the toolsets, education, and helping others get what they want is how I am using mental garlic to defeat the ever-annoying discouragement vampire. Actually, it is the same warm feeling you get on Christmas morning as the gifts you have handed over to your friends and family them happiness. Imagine being able to have that feeling everyday and being able to give that same feeling to others as well. What a true feeling of satisfaction! Not money, nor fancy cars, nor fancy homes will ever give someone that permanent sense of fulfillment that helping others get what they want will give.

So, if you're still asking yourself what the mental garlic that you will need to slay the discouragement vampire is, it is GIVING! "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." - Luke 6:38
