Are part-time jobs your ticket out of debt ?

Do people tend to spend more when they have more extra cash or do they actually pay off their debt. What do you do when you have extra money ? Part-time jobs are becoming all the more at the order of the day. Most of the population are in debt and all the more people are trying everything to get out of debt. The problem with part-time jobs are the huge sacrifice of your free time.Without free time there is no family, exercise and personal development time. We all know that these activities are more important than any amount of money in the world. Hence the catch 22.At the end of the day you are left with two choices really: Option 1: Work part-time jobs ,make the extra cash and pay off your debt. The downside of this option is that your health and lots of other important factors of your life might be at risk. Option 2: Keep doing what you are doing and hope that the economy will change sometime soon for you to be able to pay off your debt. With this option your health is actually also at risk because of all the stress and sleepless nights. The solution to the problem may be to look at part-time jobs that wont take up too much of your time, something that you can do from home. The ideal would be to make money on the internet.Internet businesses tend to require the least start-up and running capital. It is also normally the quickest to get off the ground and might enable you to pay off your debt in a few months. Some people are getting so good at these part-time jobs that they actually leave their day job in a few short months. These are normally the guys and girls that earn six and seven figure incomes doing it on the internet from home. These top earners now also have more time ,more money and no debt. Also know as FREEDOM.

Don’t get into Debt trap Don’t get into Debt trap - Don't go into debt unless you're very sure (not a gamble) that in the process of going into debt that you will make up the difference you will have to pay in interest later on! Going into debt can sometime be a good tool for getting something for your business or furthering your education when you don't have any money, but it's also a way for you to take a step back when maybe you don't need the extra money right away.
Re: The Top 50 Get Out of Debt Blogs To Watch In 2009 Re: The Top 50 Get Out of Debt Blogs To Watch In 2009 - [quote="claoudi":3b6lvtrt]What is the difference between an overdraft and debt? My husband has run almost £2000 overdraft and he says its not debt just an overdraft, nothing to worry about. I am worried sick and I still see it as debt! He had just finished paying a massive debt last year which took him over 10 years to pay off. Now he's started a small one without telling me. I made him promise to tell me if he had any problems with money which he failed to do so.[/quote:3b6lvtrt] I would agree with you that having an overdraft is a debt. In actual fact that overdraft money that has been used is money that is owed to the bank. If at any time the bank decides for some reason to call in that debt, your husband could finish up in some trouble if he is unable to repay it immediately. The best thing that he can do is pay that overdraft off as quickly as possible and then use money that he actually has and keep the overdraft strictly for emergencies. MichelleJ
Re: Would you pay $35 for a movie ticket? Re: Would you pay $35 for a movie ticket? - I wouldn't pay $35 for a movie ticket either. You'd be better off paying the normal price and then buying the DVD when it's eventually released with that kind of money. In fact, I find the current prices of $12-20/ticket to be too much already. Movies should be $5 for non-prime time hours and $8-10 at most for prime time viewings.
Re: Need some information on freelance jobs! Re: Need some information on freelance jobs! - oDesk is the same as Elance where you can bid on projects/jobs that are posted. When I was working in oDesk the main problem I experienced was the difficulty in getting my first job because of competition. There are already other service providers who already have a lot of completed jobs and good ratings with good feedback. So what I did was to bid on simple jobs - I bid a very low price so that I could just get a job and hopefully when I done it right or done it well I can have a good rating and feedback. That's how I began. I slowly build my reputation by completing simple jobs and eventually I can then compete with others and can bid high already.
Re: Need some information on freelance jobs! Re: Need some information on freelance jobs! - Hi, firstly let me confess the idea of online jobs and business alike are new to me. I had some of my own business plans but am not confident in launching the same owing to the crashing economy. Now as I see you people are talking about the freelance jobs, I wanted to know some more things about these in details. For people like us who are business minded and do not want to be working as subordinates the difference between jobs and setting up an own business is always there. Provided I cant find the best opportunity to setup my business now as already said do you think the freelance jobs about which you are talking here can be considered as an alternative for the same. Maybe thinking about finances this is going to be a safer option but is the change acceptable. I hope I could make myself clear.
