With the growth of Internet marketing, and the entire home based business industry, that perception is rapidly changing. Right now there are 1.9 billion users on the Internet. Marketing messages that once took days to get from person to person can now be transmitted at the speed of light. It’s virtually instantaneous to get a message from one computer to another even if those computers are across the country or around the world. Your workplace comes right into the home where mothers (and fathers) who take care of their children can now build a lucrative online career doing something they really enjoy.

A home based business can offer an entrepreneur the chance to have the best of both worlds. Operating a business online is inexpensive to start up and is a very cost effective way to market and sell. Above all, it offers time flexibility. You manage when and where you work, not someone else.

Another great advantage of an online marketing business is the fact that the playing field is suddenly leveled. Even micro-companies can compete alongside multinational, global organizations. Home based businesses can now afford to target markets in other parts of the country, and throughout the world, because online advertising costs are so small compared to traditional offline pricing.

Many women owned businesses have used their Internet marketing expertise to attract the attention of much larger entities. Some of these business owners have also been offered very lucrative contracts after being contacted by companies who wish to buy them out. The possibilities for growth, expansion and success are almost endless.

Today, there are more women entrepreneurs than ever before and that number continues to grow. For those women who are self-motivated, eager to learn new skills and enjoy a challenge, now is the time to take advantage of an online business opportunity. Choose a product or service that you are passionate about and create the life of your dreams.

Fundraising for 3rd world Entrepreneurs - How great to learn that Evan is doing something for Entrepreneurs in Africa! It just makes me even more thankful to be part of this forum! After helping create a new charity for animals in my local community last year, I created a vision for a charity empowering Women Entrepreneurs. It won't happen for a while yet, but I know it is something I will do within the next few years. As we allow ourselves to think bigger, the opportunity to impact people becomes much bigger as well. Does anyone else have a desire to really make a difference in the world through this means?

Women Entrepreneur Tips - Thank you LeoOliveros, I found #4 particularly true in my case: 4. The Enterprise Must Include the Power of Power Networks. As a conductor of your own enterprise, you can not see yourself as a one-woman-show. You must choose to utilize the power people in your life, by asking for help when you need it, and effectively delegating in order to capitalize on your strengths and that of your power network. When certain experts are not represented in your power network, you must actively seek advisors or mentors and develop a team of specialists, so the benefits are received by everyone involved in the power network - the true Power of Power Networks.
