4 steps to break through to a higher level of success

I have heard this story many times over, even in my own life. You are a talented and gifted individual who has experienced success and is widely known as a resource to others. You have read every book on the subject of success in your industry and heard every speaker. You know you know what you are doing and feel confident in your abilities. Yet, the going has gotten tough for you lately. The people around you have begun to either seem disinterested in you or maybe they have even failed you or even stabbed you in the back. You seem to be attracting people into your life that you think are hurting your success. Maybe your income had taken a dive or progress just seems harder. You may even feel like you know more now then you ever have but you are struggling more than you ever have. It can feel like you are trying to run a race in the mud. A very good friend of mine is one of the top motivational speakers in the world today. For the sake of this article I will call him Bob. Bob is worth multi millions and has inspired millions to greater success. He knows how to attract wealth and success and he is very gifted. Yet, over the past 6 months Bob has seemed to be stuck. People around him seem to be failing and his sales are down and some nasty rumors have started to spread about him and people in his programs are not experiencing the same level of success that they once did.

Bob is struggling for the same reason that many successful people struggle and probably why you may be struggling. Bob is trying to take his business and his self to a much higher level. He wants to play an even bigger game and he has put everything on the line to do this. When you are seeking to change the level of success you are experiencing it can often seem darkest right before the dawn. It doesn't matter what level of success you are presently at or what level you are trying to get to, the result is always the same. Things can get down right scary right before they rocket skyward.

There are 4 steps you can take when you seem stuck that will work every time to get you to your goal.

The first and most important step is to not give up under any circumstance. I am sure you know that most people give up 2 steps before success. Overnight success stories are always preceded by years of hard work and struggle that few ever see. Re-commit to your goal as often as you need to, even if you have to do it every hour.

The second step is to not blame others for your struggle. It is just too easy to be a victim and even successful people can fall into this trap. We blame our staff, we blame our spouse, we blame our coach, we blame the economy, we blame our competitors, or maybe we even blame the dog. The truth is that no matter what kind of reason you think you have for blaming others, none of them are to blame for your struggle. You are the only one responsible for what is happening and the quicker you own up to this the quicker you will get unstuck. Plus, you must remember that the reason you are attracting circumstances that seem negative in your life s because you are attempting to break through a huge barrier for yourself. Instead of blaming others learn to celebrate the struggle as a sign that you are moving onward and upward.

Thirdly, you need to create a daily strategy to keep yourself focused and motivated. When we have struggles it is easy to loose focus and feel lost. Create a consistent strategy that you can follow every day that will reinforce the habits of success that will lead you to you goals. Include in your strategy people who motivate you, experiences that put you in contact with the new level of success you are trying to achieve, and consistent steps that you follow everyday with out question. Don't doubt your strategy. Create it and then follow it day in and day out.

Lastly, keep moving no matter what. When you feel defeated or scared don't shrink back or fall for the thinking that you just need a break. When you want to stop it is always your old sub conscience habits trying to protect you from moving onto to the new level of success that you are after. You trained those habits to get you to where you are right now, but to get to another level you have to let them go and adapt new habits. But beware that they will not go down without a fight. This is why you must keep moving forward no matter what.

Remember that you know how to succeed. When the going gets tough, rumors are rampant, and people begin resisting change, that is precisely when things are about to get really, really good. Take a deep breath, recommit to your goal, stop blaming others, follow your strategy, and keep moving no matter what.

Re: From $0.30 to $300 / Day on Google AdSense Part 1 - How To M Re: From $0.30 to $300 / Day on Google AdSense Part 1 - How To M - Evan, Do you find that you earn a higher CPM when you replace Google Adsense with 3rd party advertising? Or do you find that Google Adsense still provides more revenue? Do you have any advice for website owners (myself included) on what level of traffic a company needs to pull in to attract 3rd party advertisers? Also, have you had any success on selling your advertising space to 3rd party companies who handle the sales for you? Jeff
Re: SEO... Re: SEO... - Although I don't use SERPS, I have to say that whatever program you are using, you can optimise your site into a higher level by regularly updating and as well as the regular dose of relevant keywords and traffic.
Re: Being a Success Re: Being a Success - [quote="IWDCanada":19ulfruj]I believe it is important to define what you think a success is so you always have an end goal. BUT when you see yourself approaching the goal, revisit the definition and push it higher so you keep pushing yourself to do better.[/quote:19ulfruj] Hi IWDCanada, I like what you said about "pushing yourself to do better" because I feel that a successful person is also someone who is constantly learning and improving/evolving, and who always lives outside of his/her comfort zone. People do not achieve success by simply "settling" or being stagnant. Bruce Lee once said "you might as well be dead. Seriously, if you always put limits on what you can do, physical or anything else, it'll spread over into the rest of your life. It'll spread into your work, into your morality, into your entire being. There are no limits. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. If it kills you, it kills you. A man must constantly exceed his level" (Little, "The Art of Expressing the Human Body" 23).
Re: Job market slump is a guy thing Re: Job market slump is a guy thing - Well said, Kevin. I also really like your success equation. To add to "visibility"... I think if a person has "vision" they can see there are steps on their ladder to success. It doesn't matter if they are on the bottom step of the ladder or at the top, if they bring the positive attributes of who they are, with all their talents and abilities, they will find themselves moving up the ladder. This man you talk about it a perfect example. I wouldn't be surprised if many were pleased when he ended up managing them.
Re: Specific Strategies To Raise PR Levels? Re: Specific Strategies To Raise PR Levels? - Actually PR (Page Rank) is not very important at all these days. The only real exception is if you are trying to sell links. But it definitely doesn't hurt to have it. If all other things are equal then the higher PR site will rank higher. However, it's not very important for the most part. But if you do want to increase it then all you have to do is get more backlinks from sites with higher PR. Easier said than done but that's how you do it.
