Are You Feeding the Right Wolf?

Here's a story that trusted Career and Life Coach, Peter Pamela Rose, shared with me recently. It's called Two Wolves. One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed!"

Which wolf are you feeding?

Certified Life Coach, Professional Executive Coach, and quote junkie, Peter Pamela Rose says every thought we think is an affirmation. She quotes Marcus Aurelius, "Our life is what our thoughts make it." You can't put it any plainer than that. If you're feeding the evil wolf with toxic, untrue beliefs from your past or with angry and envious thoughts about the life you're living now, Peter, has tools and techniques she'll share with you to help you change your thoughts, to reprogram old patterns, so that you're feeding the good wolf.

Again, every thought we think is an affirmation. Our responsibility is to choose thoughts that work for us and not against us, insists Peter. When we think thoughts that work for us, we are empowering ourselves. Just think about the words anger, envy, sorrow, regret, self-pity - the words of the evil wolf. The weight of them is very real. Then think of the words joy, peace, love, hope, serenity - the words of the good wolf. The weight is lifted and there's a space that opens. Just that small exercise has started the reprogramming. Peter, our wise Professional Coach, strongly suggests that every time one of those heavy thoughts shoots across our mind, try to catch it and replace it with an uplifting, positive thought.

Peter Pamela, refers to herself as a Chiropractor for the Mind. With her as your Life or Career Coach, Peter literally helps you re-train your mind through adjustments of thought. As Shakti Gawain put it, "We always attract into our lives what we think most, believe in most strongly, expect on the deepest level, and imagine most deeply." If you are filled with regret, believe that others will always do better than you, or expect to be unhappy, then you're feeding the wrong wolf. Wouldn't it be so liberating to be filled with joy, to know in your heart that you are always enough, and to expect love in your life? Peter Pamela Rose will coach you on how to feed the Good Wolf.
