No Pain, No Change

Most of us want to be the best we can be. But sometimes, as in the subject of the trials that have achieved national attention lately, people will seek what they think is a quick fix to life's challenges. That quick fix can propel us so far away from ourselves and our Truth that being our best isn't even a concern anymore. What do you want in life? Are you willing to work through the "pain of change" to have it instead of looking for the quick fix? Do you want freedom and peace of mind? Peter Pamela Rose, Professional Career and Life Coach, knows it's all possible. If you want a new life you must change the thoughts you've been ruled by in your old life. This is one of the foundations of Peter's Certified Life Coaching practice. Let's say one of your thoughts keeps you from setting boundaries at work. The tape in your head tells you that if you say "no" to extra responsibility, even though it's an unreasonable request, you'll lose your job. So you never say "no" and the work keeps piling up to the point where you think about quitting all the time. If your Executive Coach was Peter Pamela Rose, she'd caution you that what you're afraid of - not having a job - is what you're creating. But you don't have the freedom and peace of mind that comes from setting a boundary and honoring your best self. You must change. Your thoughts, your beliefs, your actions. "Yes," says Peter, "it's painful. You are transcending old self-defeating beliefs and behaviors. This pain is good; it means you are changing for the better." By better she means that you move into Truth, towards your best self and in connection with a Higher Power. And yet, there's a huge upside to the "pain of change". You get gifts. Big ones. Priceless ones.

First, you receive freedom. Freedom from a thought or belief that's been holding you back for years, maybe even your whole life. Second, you receive abundance because you've thrown out the old to make way for the new. But above these incredible gifts you gain something that no amount of money can buy. You gain peace of mind. Peter repeats something she heard from a dear friend, "I am the only one who puts my head on the pillow at night." What he meant was "I alone am the only one who can give myself this extraordinary gift," she explains.

Peace of mind is so very valuable today in our unpredictable world. So whether you need to set boundaries, improve your health, or let go of trappings from the past, the life or career coaching you receive from Peter Pamela Rose prepares you for the challenge of change. It doesn't offer you a temporary, and possibly destructive, quick fix.

Re: What works for you? Re: What works for you? - If you love your work, then there is no pressure. So, pressure builds up when you work for someone else. Actually, Pleasure and Pain are both side of one coin. You need to have both in order to succeed in life. Take risks and rewards are higher. Take less risks, the rewards are less. So, understand your capacity and take charge. Thanks, Robert
Re: Spellcheck? Re: Spellcheck? -
When discussing the majority of people I would definitely say that most people hit the "Change" or "Ignore" button without thinking too much about the correct spelling of a word. All bosses are concerned about is getting the report to the Directors meeting on time.[/quote:2f894q6j] That probably depends on what the "majority" are trying to accomplish. I have word set to alert me about misspellings and grammatical problems, so I fix most as I go. But I also add names etc to the dictionary because I get tired of seeing the red and green squiggles when I know the info is right. If you're only going to click "Change" or "Ignore" then why bother to take the time to use spell check????? Business people that I work for want the info compiled in a timely manner and they want it right - which is fine because that's the way I strive to do any project. Sending out a memo, letter, report etc with obvious spelling and grammatical mistakes makes the person and the company look bad as far as I'm concerned. Shri
Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers - Hi GT It is only fairly recently that people in South Africa have been able to get full use of Paypal as we were only able at one time to make payments but not receive them. Fortunately this has now changed. I have received money through Global X Change for one of the affiliate programs that I promote and have found them pretty good as the money is normally transferred directly into my bank account within 2-3 days and I have not had any problems with them. Re: Obama Wants Social Security for Illegals Re: Obama Wants Social Security for Illegals -
Obama WILL make changes... but they're not the changes we as a country need or should look forward to.[/quote:3kaa8sg4] Sad but this is exactly how I feel about it. Change is coming - but unless I'm really wrong, it is not a change this country needs. Amazing how much a good speaker with a good speech writer can do. If you paid attention to the things he said "off script" - much of it is frightening. Chris
Are you an Opportunity Addict? Are you an Opportunity Addict? - 1) if you find yourself saying yes without thinking about how it will affect your other priorities 2) you have over 10 projects/inventions going on at the same time and this seems normal to you 3) you have spent hundreds and thousands of dollars on manufacturing, prototypes, etc. not to mention thousands of hours of your time....but you havent followed through on any of it 4) most of your projects are falling behind or have completely fallen off your radar....which is fueling your frustration The first step in recovery is to recognize this as a pattern of self sabotage. If you are clear in what your overall goals and objectives are, you should be able to create a lens through which you measure opportunities. You create your life, and your to do list. Change, Add, Remove, Adjust time-lines - whatever you like. But remember that every piece of unfinished business - stays that way J
