5 Important Steps to Develop a Mindset for Success and Become a Client Attraction Magnet

Do you feel like a success? Do you look like a success to others, but on the inside feel like a failure? No matter how hard you try, you never do it well enough. You might be told over and over again about what great work you are doing, but you minimize it and only focus on the flaws. Even the outstanding achievements are not worth celebrating. You have a choice. You can continue to move forward in your career maintaining this perspective and never feeling fully satisfied. That is one option. Or you can make a choice to move past the hidden obstacles to your success. The opportunity to change a negative into a positive is available. You will know when you are ready to take action and make a change in your mindset.

Your mindset is the key to your success. How you view something will determine your response. Something as intangible as your thoughts and feelings determine your action. The good news is you have a choice and change can happen. In fact, it does not even need to be a long drawn out painful process. Before anything changes, you need to make the choice to take action. Embrace a willingness to examine your beliefs. Determine which are working for you and which are ready for a tune up.

Ready to get started? Here are 5 steps to begin developing a mindset for success and becoming a client attraction magnet.

1. Desire to make a change. Having a desire to do things differently is significant. A willingness to explore all options is the first step toward creating a mindset for success. Be ready to step out of the box. Be adventurous by opening your mind to alternative perceptions. Explore the infinite possibilities of perceptions.

Instead of focusing on negative perceptions, begin to develop beliefs which are positive and build you up.

2. Who do you spend time with? "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." Jim Rohn The people you surround yourself with will affect your mindset. Think about them. If you are spending time with people who are also forward thinkers and understand your excitement and drive, you are in good company. On the other hand if you are surrounded by people who are always in one crisis after another and you seem to be the solution to their problems, your energy will be drained.

One of the most difficult things to do, but also necessary for moving forward is to look at the people in your life. Are they driven to live their life with purpose and understand your desire for success? Choose people who will build you up.

Connect with people who are already achieving some of the goals you are currently striving for. Remember if you want to be a millionaire, you need to spend time with millionaires. They think differently and act differently than people living paycheck to paycheck.

3. Do you know what holds you back? Everything you do is based upon your beliefs. In turn, this affects how you perceive your world around you. Put your finger on what is holding you back and getting in the way of your success. If you don't have any negative beliefs about success, then look at your beliefs around money and wealth. They are related, but different.

Look within and decide if there is a difference between what you say you want and what you actually believe is true. Your core beliefs were influenced by your life circumstances and how you interpreted those events. Look back on those events or influences. How old were you?

Unless you have consciously done your work, you will be surprised to recognize beliefs you developed at a much younger age continue to influence your mindset. This is like having a young child get into the driver's seat of the bus and begin driving the bus. If the old belief does not work for you, blow it up! That is right. Let it go. Create one more relevant to who you are now and your current life goals.

4. Action vs. Avoidance Changing your beliefs and how you view your circumstances is crucial. When you are ready take action. Realize the last part of the word "attraction" is action.

If avoidance has kept you in a comfortable place and contributed to your current situation, then you need to do something different to break out of your comfort zone. Your comfort zone is familiar and predictable.

Continuing with the status quo helps to avoid disappointment and pain. It is almost a catch-22 situation. You are dissatisfied with your current level of success, but the pain and dissatisfaction is not great enough for you to break your own glass ceiling for success.

In order to create a successful business, you need to "show up" differently. Having the mindset for success motivates you to take action and step out of your comfort zone. You will be driven to do things you never would have considered as options. In fact, settling for mediocrity will not be an option anymore. How cool is that?

Make the choice to stretch yourself beyond what you thought was possible. By making this mindset shift and beginning to take action, you will begin stepping toward your life's purpose.

Feel the energy shift. Your vibration will rise and people will notice. What you have to do in order to succeed might not change. The way you approach taking those steps will change significantly. Having confidence and taking action with a mindset for success is very client attractive.

5. Identify your purpose Deep down connect with the very thing that drives you. Find out what your gift is, your special talent. Get really clear about it. Discard the excuses for not taking action and following through with your passion. They have only kept you from taking bold steps to success.

Now that you are feeling your vibration rise, that feeling of excitement as you make a correction, you will embrace a "do anything." mindset. Watch opportunities appear. This will happen to you with the decision to step into your purpose.

Set an intention for yourself and envision yourself as a success. Get out of your head and wondering how you are going to do it. Connect with your heart, knowing you have all the answers within you. You have a gift to share; an obligation to be of-service and to help others.

Create boundaries and surround yourself with like-minded people. Attract people to you who understand your passion and share similar goals for success. Don't wait for them to find you, take the initiative and seek them out.

Reframe your core beliefs. Instead of focusing on limitations and what is not going well, putting out one crisis after another, focus on moving toward your vision and your goal. Focus on your capabilities and feel like a success, acting "as if." Taking action is very client attractive. The Law of Attraction loves quick, decisive action. Stay in the moment, believe in yourself and embrace a feeling of confidence in the gifts you have to offer.

Become a client attraction magnet by changing focus, changing how you respond, taking action on opportunities which appear and feeling confident. Empower yourself and watch the domino affect. As you discard a negative belief for a positive intention there will be a domino effect leading you to success. The amazing part is all you need to do is make the choice to embrace a mindset for success and the rest will follow.

However, I like to have the leisure to develop my own projects. The first case is what Stephen Covey calls a "Quadrant 1" activity ("Important and urgent") whereas the second case is a "Quadrant 2" activity ("Important, not urgent"). We should aim to make as much time as possible for Q2 activities so that we can develop our own projects. Easier said than done!

It is a great presentation. I've watched it several times but not for a while so I'll view it again in the coming week. He is one of the greats. Like the best success mentors, he speaks with authority because he has come through much tribulation. His program sounds like a great bargain at $100 a year.
