The Best Ways to Invest In Yourself!

The Best Ways to Invest In Yourself!

I watch so many women entrepreneurs pinching pennies, day in and day out – month in and month out – as they struggle to grow their business.I also see them spending money on things and events that do not contribute to the growth of their business. Typically, it is because they don’t have a strategy (let alone a real business plan).

One of my success habits is to invest in myself. This is NOT debt – this is an investment – and it is critical to the success of my business. (This is a mindset issue with many women in business – the difference between debt and business debt – investing in your business.)

I make a yearly plan to invest in myself by way of participating in high-level master mind groups, for one thing, and working with a successful coach.I do my homework – I do my planning – I find the right fit and then I make a decision to do it. Do I always have the money on hand? NO! But I do know, from experience, that once I make the decision – I always find the money. And once I make that investment, and ‘do the work’, I always make more than enough money to fund the investment. That’s how it works.

Find the right Master Mind Group.

Do I talk about this a lot – yes! Because it is a critical investment for you and your business. In the book, ‘Think and Grow Rich”, Napoleon Hill says “No individual may have great power without availing himself of the ‘master mind’. ……When you use intelligence and discrimination in the selection of your ‘master mind’ group, your objective will have been half-way reached, even before you begin to reach it. ….. No two minds every come together without, thereby creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind. ….. Analyze the record of any man who has accumulated modest fortunes, and you will find that they have either consciously or unconsciously employed the ‘master mind’ principle.” There is just no other way to grow your business, efficiently, effectively, quickly and successfully!

Attend live events – now this is a strategy (and an investment) that pays big dividends!

It’s just a natural part of my business plan, and strategy, to research and attend live events throughout the year. The benefits and advantages are huge. You come away with new relationships, new joint venture opportunities, the chance to meet with the ‘gurus’ in the industry, a renewed sense of validation, new skills to apply to both your business and your personal life……….and a time ‘away’ to recharge and rejuvenate. If you aren’t doing this, you are truly missing out.

By attending live events, you get new leads – and people ‘get what you do’.How refreshing would that be? To have conversations with similar entrepreneurs who actually ‘get it’?!!!! The energy is contagious – it ‘fills you up’ for when you get back home and back ‘into the jungle’.

At live events, you can get opportunities to be interviewed on radio, to speak at other live events – and so much more. Most women entrepreneurs are the ‘best kept secret’ ever. By attending live events, you can change that within a matter of days. It’s all about meeting new people – developing that know-like-trust factor – and sharing resources.

At live events, you can get good deals on products and services. Most of the gurus in the industry offer really good deals on their home study systems, master mind groups, CDs, books, etc. You can stock up on your learning materials and save money too! Bonus!

CONCLUSION:

You know it’s critical to invest in your business in order to grow it. There is no other way. So get past that scarcity mentality, do your homework, and make a plan to get out there in a big way this year. Don’t understand the concept of the master mind – then ask questions. There are many variations out there so you want to be sure you find the right fit for you! (and, quite frankly, any mastermind group that has ‘no fee’ (or is free) – well, you’ll get what you pay for.

Start to stretch your comfort zone when it comes to attending live events.Yes, go alone! You will survive and, actually, when you go by yourself, you have a tendency to meet more people because you will stretch your comfort zone.

There is no better investment than putting your money where your mouth is – and getting serious about growing your business this year. So, get out of your own way – and get going!

YOUR ASSIGNMENT

  1. Read the book, “Think and Grow Rich’, by Napoleon Hill. It’s a free download, for heaven’s sake! No excuses!
  2. Check out the live events that are being offered over the next few months – check with your mentors and find out where they are going………then go there, too.
