2. Reachable: Why do you need to put up business if you don’t want to expand it nationally or internationally? You should not limit your ways in marketing your products. Feel free to do expansions. This is just a first move to do business worldwide. Customers are located anywhere and there are potential customers located all over the globe.
3. Increased Revenues: On selling via internet you don’t have any boundaries to think for. The more prospects customer the more chances of closing appointment deals and sales.
4. Increased Savings: Online business had low administrative cost, telecommunication cost as well as marketing cost and there are research results that prove that Internet Marketing online can give the best Return on Investment (ROI) than any other forms of marketing.
5. Customer Service: Being visible online, the business is available 24/7 and anytime customers can freely surf them anytime by logging on to your website anytime and look for the information they’re looking for.
6. Credibility: Your website can help you to let your customer trust your business. The more it looks professional the more reputation was built and more customers will be confident in dealing with you.
7. Competition: Everybody can compete with larger companies or corporations. Potential customers will find ways to look over your business but if they can’t they will find your competitors.

There are software programs such Adobe Dreamweaver or Microsoft Expression Web that will aid you in creating a professional looking website for a few hundred dollars, or you can utilize the free software offered by your web hosting company. A fitted designed site will help communicate vision and display your products and services.

After the site is built it’s now easy, once it is optimized for the search engines and ready for introduction to potential customers, major search engines can be use such as Google and Yahoo. There are also marketing techniques on the Internet that does not need a financial investment but can provide you ideal results. These are doing e mail blasting, instant messaging, doing blogs, bookmarking to any sites and uploading videos to YouTube and more sites.

The size of your business doesn’t matter to be visible online. So come think of it, this is just a new beginning.

Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Kevin, Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory. Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.

Internet Marketing Section - Yes or No? - I think Samin is is right... The Social Media part needs to be a subcategory of Internet / Online Marketing. There are a few qualified characters here that would fit nicely as moderators. No sweat GT. There's a lot to share and learn, social marketing is fascinating and it'll be an eye opener for everyone as we dig into the details. But it's still just a small piece of the pie - maybe it's getting bigger???
