Highs and Lows of Living

Article Overview: Carrie Bradshaw and Sex in the City in New York, does not have quite the same ring as Linda Sage and Sex in the City of Quesada....but there again who knows! That probably sounds as exciting to somebody in rain drenched down town Glasgow or Margate (not that I have anything personal against these two places or people from there) but all things are relative!

Highs and Lows of Living

Carrie Bradshaw and Sex in the City in New York, does not have quite the same ring as Linda Sage and Sex in the City of Quesada....but there again who knows! That probably sounds as exciting to somebody in rain drenched down town Glasgow or Margate (not that I have anything personal against these two places or people from there, but all things are relative)

Thinking about it, I do have friends that fit into characters similar to those now on the big screen, my life and loves can certainly rival Carrie for intensity and insanity, there is a guy who thinks he is Mr Big....but there again maybe not! and he definitely does not have an equal bank balance!

Watching the highs and lows of characters that are as familiar to us as our relatives, is because of their true to life charms and quirks, just like our own. How many of us cannot relate to somebody in one of the regular soaps? My dad in his hay day was certainly Victor Mildrew and my mum his long suffering patient wife, but just like the characters, they had a long and happy marriage, happy endings we all love.

Most of us of a certain age would loved to have got one over the nasty Alexis (albeit secretly admiring her grit and spirit) and give the whinney Chrystal a kick up the bum, as for Sue Ellen she should have shot JR a long time before her sister got to him! How easy it is to see what all these people should do, say, or think, but being in similar situations what do we do.......probably the same as they did! That is what writers do, open up visions, possibilities and opportunities, how many people have not cried, or shouted at the tv screen to give the characters advice and guidance? And how much they are missed when they leave the series.

Mrs Bucket, Arkwright and Captain Mannering but to name a few, all have places in our hearts and minds, laughing at their characters always rings true about somebody we know, a place that we have been. How many people have never experienced a BnB with a Mrs Hilda Ogden type, scarf and curlers in her hair, or a Mrs Faulty .... I have found a few Manuels locally as well!!!

All of these characters bring warmth and comfort, a sense of belonging and understanding, sometimes we wish we could do what they are doing or be where they are living, or on the other hand maybe not; it must be very risky living in Mid Summer as so many people die there, the population must need replenishing quite often.

Seeing these people makes us look at things in others that we like, the allure of Samantha (Sex in the City), looks of Dr Brennan (Bones), intelligence of Cally Ducane (CSI Miami) we can but dream........If life was scripted and we could read the last page to know the outcome; would be really want to know, or are the highs and lows along the way the great part of living?

Meanwhile, back to the local bar in Quesada, with friends that are real, that get up to .............

Everybody can benefit from this, that is the reason why 'Healthy Living and Eating' is a multi billion Dollar business. Often I smile, because so much is written about it. So many different business are blooming and doing well. Whilst there is so much knowledge and opportunity to be healthy and well, the need is still growing. There is so much that could be said. The cheapest form of energy is gained by a good sleep.
Inspiration for Logos - When a Buddhist looks at a Tibetan flag one of the first thing that pops in their mind is admiration respect. After assimilating that they keep thinking and repression might come next. Living as part of a communist nation may bring lots of feelings. Chastity, prayer, humility all these virtues are all mixed. When you want a client to think of your Logo may this not be an example of what he thinks. Let its all be positive and with hope of something better coming.
Re: Do you have an affinity to making money??? - Hi ideasuniversity, I think we all enjoy making money and hopefully using it wisely, LOL. It is interesting to see that you are getting involved with Aloe Vera products as these seem to have remarkable advantages for health and wellbeing for many people. I almost became involved here a few years back with a company which was called something like Forever Living products who seemed to be very active but ultimately I didn’t follow it up but I can understand your enthusiasm for the products as you can get anything from Aloe Vera toothpaste up over, the range of products is incredible, best of luck with your efforts, regards, Mal.

Complacency and comfort can be death.
