Mine and a couple of generations around me were brought up
with work hard at school, go to college, get all the qualifications you can,
get a good job, you will be set for life, with a good pension.
Then it was never imagined that teachers, civil servants, or
the armed forces would ever consider or be involved in redundancies. A job for life does not exist now, nor does
the security of a state or private pension.
Most people come to Spain to get out of the rat race,
leaving the M25, stress, commuting and long hours behind, but the reality of
the employment market in Spain
is very different. Even with the EU and
Equal Opportunities without a second language a legal contract is like gold
dust.
Learning to be flexible in your approach to working is the
key to success on the Costa, as children we all had dreams, but life makes us
more realistic. A new home, a new life,
in a new country, maybe that is a good time to resurrect your dreams. It is scary; many will have pins to pop your
bubble, but believing in why you want to work and why you want a certain level
of income, will make getting out of bed in the morning a lot easier than
bashing the alarm clock.
Once you have your personal “why”, you will start looking
for the “how”, talk about your ideas and dreams to others as they might have a
contact that just knows something about that. But if you don’t say anything,
they would not have thought to mention it.
That is network marketing, that simple, talking to people, making
contacts. Not rocket science.
The get rich offer from companies, if it seems too good to
be true, then it usually is. A legal,
responsible networking company will offer you, excellent training, on a one to
one basis, local forums, international meetings, on the internet, and by phone.
Substantial financial security, both in what you can earn and their standing in
the financial marketplace i.e. floated on a Stock Exchange, stood the test of
time, have a strong, reputable Board of Directors that are developing products
and negotiating with international investors to promote the products in a way
to help each distributor. Be a member of the DSA (Direct Selling Association),
this is globally recognized as a monitoring body for Direct Selling Companies.
No company should rush you into signing up, or demand
instant payments. They should also offer you a money back guarantee, for your
peace of mind. Ask loads of questions,
but listen to the answers. Network
Marketing is a new concept for many people, but it is well established in the
financial circles, Sam Walton of Wal Mart, made his fortune, Joe Bezos of
Amazon, both used these concepts to become billionaires, the London School of
Economics and Harvard, plus a wide variety of universities and colleges are
teaching Network Market now, as the future development of technology will only
enhance this business strategy.
Anybody can Network Market, you can fit it into your family requirements, no boss to ask for time
off, the more you help others the more you business will grow.
Everybody knows logically working for a boss, you will never
get rich. Buying a franchise is very
expensive, with lots of overheads to cover.
Network Marketing offers the minimum start-up costs of any business,
plus the possibility of developing to a global size.

Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM?
- I've been looking at a number of different opportunities and end up meeting a lot of Network Marketing / Multi-Level Marketing people.
Some of the offers look interesting but everyone I talk to about it says to avoid these guys like the plague - what's the deal? Why do people hate network marketers and MLM people so much?

- I have experience with MLM too. My initial reaction to the business was "snake-oil salesman" but once I got to understand the "overall business model" I am now an advocate to it.
MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is also known as Network Marketing. I realized an MLM business is no different than any other business. One needs to focus on both words "Network" and "Marketing" and give both equal respect. Some people focus heavily on the Networking part but forget "Marketing".
I've started to use Building on a Budget and Magnetic Sponsoring concepts in my NM business and have found that people don't get involved so much because of the product but more because of what you bring to the table as far as marketing systems and support.
I have both products listed in my signature. you don't have to buy it as the link to the free videos itself provides you a good understanding of what is required to position yourself as my above paragraph.
If you do plan on purchasing it I can tell you that the measly $40 will open your eyes BUT your upline will not be too happy (atleast in the short term) beacuse the system is not duplicateable.
I wrote this post as a polar post to Bulmer's reply as I have exhausted the friends and family networking and realized i never really focused on marketing. My leads now are more qualified and open to hearing about my opportunity than the other way around.
my 2 cents if you plan on growing an MLM or Networking Marketing business.

Recently, I had join a Network Marketing Business on a part-time basis. Does anyone here who has some knowledge on this type of business? I want to learn as fast as I can from all the gurus here

- My advice is:
1) Go to the library and start reading business books (accounting, finance, etc.)
2) Go to your local community college and enroll in night classes
3) Join the local Chamber of Commerce
4) Network / Network / Network -- through the above sources.
Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.

- This is a good topic. I haven't done anything, yet, to seriously damage my business. I did shift gear though. It was the best decision I ever made. For me, affiliate marketing was not working. Making the switch to Network Marketing made all the difference.
