You Can’t Buy Experience

We are often told we need the sad, or down side of life to grow as a person and develop our inner strength to appreciate the good times, but some people seem to be “luckier” than others!

Or, maybe it is how we look at luck! In the past two weeks my daughter has left fulltime education in the UK, become a bad tempered brat, my dad sadly died and my insurance company has condemned my house, how unlucky am I….

In fact for the first time in my life, for a very long time I feel secure, supported and in control of my life. I have become surrounded by people I trust and can talk to. Where as, two years ago when my partner left me and my mum died I turned into a clammed up hermit. The barriers I put up to keep out pain, also kept out joy.

Learning to bring down the barriers and let people know us a people is envigorating, making new friends at any age seems hard, but learning just to talk makes such a huge change in your life.

Most of us a afraid of failure, ridicule or rejection as we have all passed through these sometime in our lives, but whether we accept the valuations of these comments is up to us. Being accepting of ourselves (warts n all), and listening to others and their needs brings a great deal of joy. Happiness or unhappiness is an internal choice, sadness comes and goes, but how we deal with it matters and that makes the difference on the lasting effects it has on us.

When the depths of despair seem the only comfortable place to be, look for the tiny shred of light, it is always there but we are often afraid to reach for it, when we do the warmth and comfort it brings is soul enhancing. It may come in the form or a letter, phone call, photograph, music or friend, but when you look it is there.

Skills & Experience:- You should have business and management experience and contacts in your area of expertise. With your business experience you are more likely to be able to make a sensible judgment about whether the company seeking money is likely to succeed. You will also be able to contribute more to the management of the company.
