You will save thousands of dollars having an internet business compared to a brick and mortar business. You have no overhead costs, such as rent, utilities, employees and everything else thrown in when your business is strictly offline. And more often than not, those expenses gobble up the profits of an offline business. The internet also gives you access to hundreds of thousands of more potential cutomers and it runs for you every day of the year, around the clock, even when you are off doing something else.

It is critical to use the right system with a proven track record from the start. This basically assures your success as long as you put in the effort to get the ball rolling. Once your system is set up, just keep a close eye on it and your long-term success will continue. It's awesome, because you do not need to have a lot of skill. You can just plug-in to a system that is set to already and be in a position to earn right away.

Realize that even with the internet, a "get-rich-quick" mentality will pretty much kill you from the beginning. You can bet that the internet allows you to make more profits quicker than anything else out there, but it will not just happen overnight. Be realistic and stay focused, determined and consistent. Then you know you will succeed building true wealth from the comfort of your own home or anywhere in the world for that matter. If someone tells you you can earn 100's of thousands of dollars in the next month, it's best to look elsewhere. It's not a solid system.

When you find a system that appeals to you, research it for it's proven results and longevity. That's important for any business success, but don't dissect it to death. If you feel at home with it, it's better to plug-in and get going on earning a piece of this multi-million dollar internet pie.

Before being sponsored by someone or working personally with them, be sure to do a Google search of their name. Find out what comes up. You don't want to be working with a faceless scammer. They should have a good and solid online presence. This will make you feel more connected to that person. It will also prove to you that they are genuine and truly ready to help you.

If you have a product or a brick and mortar business of your own, when you begin having an internet presence, your sales will greatly increase. This is how the internet works. It reaches to people all over the globe and multiplies your potential customers by more people than you can imagine. The internet is the wave of the future and you need to have a presence there.

Even without a product, you don't have to worry. Just find a system and usually you can choose products you want to tie into it. The funnels are all set up. You just need to personalize them and turn them on. This saves you so much time. It is amazing how it works so smoothly. And this sets up multiple streams of income funneling to you.

This is my favorite type of system as all of the leg work has already been done for you. You don't have to spend your precious time figuring out what works and what doesn't work. You just plug-in and you are ready to begin the fun part. That is working with people you know are interested and of course earning money. No more cold calls and trying to sell something to someone who isn't even interested.

A proven system will also provide you with a website. This is crucial if you want to market successfully on the internet. It's basically your storefront. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need. Jeff

The other 6 will begin to create a presence and if the right keywords are used, then people doing searches for those keywords will find many references to this site. Networking helps build your 'real world presence'. I haven't done any aggressive marketing of my site yet the hits just keep on increasing on a monthly basis. I'm on track to be making 20,000 hits (probably more) this year. Not bad for not spending a dime on advertising and being fairly casual about what I do with the site. That's what I have learned thus far online. The more I learn, the more hits grow.

But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time.
