Can You Really Quit Your Job?

Escape artists. Retirees. Dream weavers. Can you really quit your job and live the good life? It's unlikely that you'll want to quit just yet...without the right set of skills. By now you realize that people promising ‘pie-in-the-sky' deals to quit your job and escape the 9-5 are waving a magic wand. It's not likely true. Unless you have the right skills.

One of the most important things a lot of people do not talk about is presentation skills. Whatever you choose to do...from running a ski shop to managing a deli in a tropical harbor...you will need top notch presentation skills.

All day, every day you are presenting ideas to grow your business. Right now you might be working in a corporate headquarters, dreaming of your escape. But what happens when you are sitting in your villa, tropical cabana or new digs?

You'll need exceptional presentation skills more than ever.

If you really want to escape, you must get ready. Invest in skills you can take with you. Presenting ideas, pitching services and selling solutions are transferrable skills. You can take them with you-even if you're traveling across the Himalayas with a backpack.

So while you're thinking about escaping the rat race, jumping on a sailboat and doing some serious world traveling, think of this: you need terrific presentation skills.

With the right set of skills, you'll know how to structure your story, sell your services and adapt to any audience. You'll also know how to connect with core human emotions and speak effectively to bridge barriers. This is crucial to communicate with people who have different cultural norms and customs.

Funny thing, right? Communication skills are one of the first things we learn. As a young baby, we cry and scream to get attention. As an adult, we want to find more effective ways to connect with our audiences.

If you want to quit your job, escape the rat race...do this first. Get ready with the right training. Be smart. This is like going into the woods. You want to have a first aid kit.

In business, your first aid kit is composed of the right skills and tools to present your ideas. Learn these skills and you'll know exactly how to tell the best story, connect with any audience and inspire fast decisions. You'll know how to organize your thoughts to make a powerful impact.

Imagine having the confidence to give phenomenal presentations. In any setting. On any topic. To any audience.

It's that simple. With presentation skills training you can escape the grind and live anywhere. Take time to get the presentation skills training you need so you can thrive in any environment. You'll be so glad you did.

Re: What to do at the first roadblock? Re: What to do at the first roadblock? - Quit! JK. You need to make a serious decision about what you plan to do and if you can handle the competition. Personally, I like less competitive niches because it typically means success is slightly more guaranteed, as long as you are sure there is a demand. I would rather pick a niche and dominate it rather than rally it out with the big boys. For example, what if your idea is to start a new search engine? Unless you have some amazing revolutionary new idea, forget it. What about if you wanted to start an online social network just like facebook? Again, your idea won't go anywhere unless you have an amazing revolutionary idea or something.
Re: Don't Quit. Re: Don't Quit. - Thanks for the post Don't Quit is a great message even when the mother-in-law says "why don't you get a real job" The lonely entrepreneur sound like an interesting email or thought. Was never lonely at the beginning, to excited about the challenges and busy learning new things. but as time progressed, it can get boring looking at Forex charts, research and writing. Now my social business networking and forums easily remove any thoughts of loneliness. Now, sometimes look forward to some quiet times As to mastermind groups; perhaps when I grow up I will be invited - smiles
