Desktop or Laptop? Desktop or Laptop? - I'm currently looking to buy a new PC because my existing 3 year old Dell Inspiron 8600 15.4" widescreen laptop is constantly low on memory (it only had 40 GB to start with), and heavy to lug around. But I'm having a little trouble deciding between whether to buy another laptop or to go for a more powerful desktop. If you were to buy a new computer for both personal and business use, which would you buy: desktop or laptop? PC or Mac? Thanks
Laptop vs notebook Laptop vs notebook - According to Wikipedia, and as I had suspected: A laptop computer, or simply laptop (also notebook computer or notebook), is a small mobile computer, which usually weighs 2-18 pounds (1-6 kilograms), depending on size, materials, and other factors. I have a desktop computer - a Dell Dimension 6600 (or some number like that!) and a laptop computer, a Sony VAIO. You can get a laptop, much like a desktop, with a variety of memory options, but I'd advise you to get one with the most memory and power that you can.
Cokes and keyboards Cokes and keyboards - Here's another question, which I'm almost, but not quite, too embarrased to ask. Last night I spilled a bit of coke on the keyboard of my laptop. Not very much, and I thought I'd wiped it up enough so that only a teeny tiny bit had seeped into the section where the keys were. But today the keyboard is acting all funny. So, how much does it cost, anyone, to take a laptop in to a professional and get the under-the-keys part of the laptop cleaned up of all sticky stuff? Anyone know?

Re: Is it worth buying a Dell computer with financing? Re: Is it worth buying a Dell computer with financing? - I don't know, I would rather get a good PC then a laptop any day. But even so I would build my own system, you save tons of money and they work much better then the ones at "Futureshop" for example where they rip you off big time. I have 2 video cards running at the same time, both cost $600 each but I got them for $100 each brand new. Make sure you don't go to big stores that would rip you off badly, always look around for the best price. So make sure you look for a good laptop or PC, and if anything I would get someone to build it for you. Like I said building your laptop or PC part by part always saves you money and makes it work better.
