Business Travel: What If Your Business Travel Is a 6 Month Deployment to Iraq?

To me, Business Travel can mean a corporate executive traveling for the next big deal; a sales person making their rounds; or even a soldier or sailor being deployed. All are traveling on business; all leave home for a period of time on business. This article will focus on when business travel means going on deployment.

Little things get overlooked for this type of business traveler. The car insurance bill, car payments, storage for your belongings, dependent care and dependent care allotments, paycheck issues, and so on.

Make arrangements with your bank for money transfers if you can so things can be as automated as possible. Internet bill pay with your bank will help you there. Remember to take an ATM card with you with access to your checking and savings accounts so that you can move money on your own if your bank messes up. You will also need access to your money when you hit a port. Make sure your bank card has a Visa or MasterCard logo so you can purchase things via credit.

Make a list of all of your bills and how they are getting paid before you leave and take a copy of it when you leave. You may want to engage a Virtual Assistant as keeper of the list to help facilitate when you need it. It might be worth the $40 for one hour worth of follow up each month.

Don't forget to give out your FPO address so people can reach you. Remember, there are folks at home who care for you.

Re: Looking for business partners in travel and telecom areas Re: Looking for business partners in travel and telecom areas - Michael, In order to help I would need more detail. Travel and Telecom are pretty broad categories. I develop and design websites and I could help but not without a lot more information on what niche's your targeting. For example are you trying to just target people in and around Chicago or the whole United States.

Re: HOw to market a B2B consulting company Re: HOw to market a B2B consulting company - [quote="zohahunt77":428owzbi]Hi, I was wondering if anyone can tell me the difference between B2B and B2C. I don’t know about b2b marketing but I have done marketing so know things about it. I will suggest you to take online services which will spread your business all over web network. Online marketing is the best way to market any business.[/quote:428owzbi] B2B = Business to Business - You are marketing to other businesses. B2C = Business to Consumer - You are marketing to consumers.
