Booking Business Travel Lodging Myth

Booking business travel lodging is now a commodity. Lodging booking information is abundant on the web. There's numerous websites on the internet that help you search for the right hotel and get the best price (FunnelScope.com is my favorite). However, there still is a lodging booking myth that needs to be put to rest. Myth: You get the best price if you book your business travel hotel directly on a Lodging Company's web site.

So the hotels want you to believe that you'll get the best deal if you go directly to their web site to book your lodging. That's not always the case. Why? Because if you book directly with one hotel, you'll miss the opportunity to compare room prices with other lodging providers in the city you're staying in. In fact, in some cities you may find that traditional vacation rental companies are actually the cheapest room price in off-peak times of the year, especially if you're planning to stay for more than a couple nights. And, you'll get a condo or home to stay in rather than a cramped hotel room.

You didn't think Holiday Inn Express was going to tell you how much a competing Abbey Inn hotel across the street costs on their website did you? You don't think the "It's a Wonderful Life" Macy's telling customers about their competitor Gimbals movie story happens in today's business world?

Most small business travelers don't have a travel agent, which makes sense. Do yourself a favor and instead of booking your business travel lodging accommodation directly at the hotel's website, try an unbiased hotel search engine like FunnelScope.com. You'll save some money, and you may even find a better hotel option for your business trip via the reviews. Your accountant will give you kudos for the T&E savings.

Is The E-Myth The Ultimate Franchise Guide? - Ever since the E-Myth made its way through to becoming one of the most popular books for entrepreneurs, the number of small business owners who have come to me discussing franchising has exploded. Is the E-Myth the reason why so many companies are now looking at franchising their business model? Are there any other resources you can suggest for new franchise owners or people considering it as an option?

Re: Looking for business partners in travel and telecom areas Re: Looking for business partners in travel and telecom areas - Michael, In order to help I would need more detail. Travel and Telecom are pretty broad categories. I develop and design websites and I could help but not without a lot more information on what niche's your targeting. For example are you trying to just target people in and around Chicago or the whole United States.
