Develope a marketing calendar

Guest post by: Russell Bowyer

Article Overview: All businesses should have a marketing calendar! So what is a marketing calendar? During the course of the year you should track where your enquiries come from and which ones lead to customers. At the same time you should record which month the enquiries come in to your business so that you can build a picture of which months are your busiest and which ones are the least busy. Once you have compiled this data you can put this into the form of a calendar and then use this to your businesses advantage. By knowing which months in the year you already get most enquiries; you can then plan further advertising in those months to really capitalise on the months in which your customers are looking to buy.

Develope a marketing calendar

All businesses should have a marketing calendar!

Secondly, you can look at the months where you are short of enquiries and look at complimentary products to shore up your business in those lean months.

Getting Organized Getting Organized - Getting and using a calendar and planner can make a big difference. I don't know if it will help, you Yahoo mail has a calendar option that I like to use sometimes. It also offers an alarm which you can program to send you a reminder about appointments and other things. Shri
Re: For Gmail users... Re: For Gmail users... - I like to keep all my files together if possible so the programs talk to each other. I couldn't move to Google calendar without GMinder. I'm still frustrated that you can color code events in Google calendar but it's not a deal-breaker for me.
Re: Calendars Re: Calendars - I like calendars that reflect things I'm interested in - such as vintage cars and planes. I'd buy a fencing calendar, but that's such an esoteric market that no one makes 'em! I don't really need to buy calendars, though. My dad, who contributes to various charities, gets on average of 12 wall calendars a year from those places. (Not to mention T-shirts, little throw blankets, night lights, and so on.) Since I do all my work on the computer, that's where I keep my calendar... the ones on the wall I just have up for the pictures!
CRM products with telephone integration CRM products with telephone integration - I need a CRM product that will integrate with telephone so when a call comes in it pops in the screen and notes can be made as well as appointments that will pop later. I also want a screen to pop when outward bound calls are made to do the same stuff. I also need the scheduled appointments to send a text to any cell phone number that I input for whatever user. So basically if the user is away from the computer they will know they have something coming up. I think this may be a little involved for an out of the box system but I can only hope that someone is using something like this. I looked at Sugarcrm and Asterisk integration but I am not sure I can pull that off. Contact management is really my next step. I have been able to keep up with my clients so far but my marketing is now outstripping what I can keep up with in google calendar.
Re: Google Calendar Re: Google Calendar - You have to open an account with them and then when you open Google you'll see My Account in the top right corner. If you click on that it will have a calendar link.
