Salespeople just want to make more sales. That's why Ace of Sales was created.

Guest post by: Jeffrey Gitomer

Article Overview: About a year ago we launched Ace of Sales 1.0 - instant success. Salespeople loved our customized emails that set them apart from the competition and the ability to send low cost custom greeting cards and postcards. They loved the ability to do all social media from the Ace of Sales home page. They loved the ability to import their outlook contacts. They loved more than 100 Jeffrey's video vignettes and mini-training tips to help make more sales. And they loved that it only cost $20.00 a month.

Online Sales and Marketing vs Traditional Online Sales and Marketing vs Traditional - Hi Evan, I am noticing that many of the posts in the Sales/Marketing section deal with online marketing, SEM and and SEO and Affiliates. I was wondering if it might be a good idea to separate that section into two; 1) Online Sales and Marketing; 2) Traditional Sales and Marketing

Re: Sales Letters: Do they work? Re: Sales Letters: Do they work? - Sales letters are a unique and very beneficial element to almost any businesses marketing and sales letters, if done professionally and ethically. According to Rudyard Kipling, 'words are the most powerful drug we humans can deliver' the reason these letters and sites work, and they do, trust me, is people they are targeted to a very specific type of person/demographic. The more you understand your market, the better you can write your sales letters and collateral material. Every form of communication essentially uses this format, identify the pain propose a solution offer proof - through testimonials outline the benefits make an offer they cant refuse etc etc if your radar flags when you read some one else's letter, that only speaks to your own integrity and how you want to be seen. In fact, some of the best sales letters every written have been for World Wildlife Fund, Foster Parents Plan, Canadian Cancer Society etc. The difference is that now mainstream businesses and especially information marketers are using these tactics. Personally the formula is used all the time in every successful campaign - you only need to decide what you are comfortable with. As far as one of the links Shri provided, I'm very familiar with his work and quite frankly wouldnt bother recommending it.... But to sum up - sales letters are an old and traditional way of motivating someone to buy - right now. dont knock it - if you aint tried it. But make sure you are 100% acting in integrity and within the comfort level of your audience. Jude
outsourcing sales outsourcing sales - Hello My name's Chris from England, I'm new to this forum. I am launching a new start up next month, a bicycle billboard company. I have two questions: What would it take to convince your business to adopt a new advertising medium that you hadn't used before? Would you recommend outsourcing sales for small start ups? (I am considering using an outsourcing company / freelance individuals to book appointments and recruit and manage a Field Sales team as I do not have experience in sales and would prefer to leave it to professionals)
Re: Sales Letters: Do they work? Re: Sales Letters: Do they work? - Sales letter works extremely well when direct response marketing tactic is used, copywriters like Dan Kennedy, Gary Halbert and many others proven this over and over so there is no disputation about how effectively it works. But what might often get overlooked is often times a sale is already made before people begin reading the pitch. I am sure everyone is a fan of someone/something and when that person presents to you, it doesn't matter what they're selling, you end up buying. Personally, I love Jimmy Brown's stuff and I opt-in and buy all kinds of stuff based on the pre-existing relationship he has with me. Kevin might like Jeffry Gitmore's stuff etc. One time I had the opportunity to sell something to my subscribers with the help of my joint venture partners and sold 50 copies of one of my ebooks in first three days. I did have a sales letter, but what I noticed was people were buying without reading everything written on the sales letter and hitting order and while this was exciting, it created a lot of support tickets. In todays' busy world where people so bombarded with commercials every day, the relationship we build with our audience is becoming more and more important and from conventional way of throwing bunch of traffic to sales page to what sticks strategy is gradually changing to, hey let's build relationship, community first then let me get permission from you approach, which is the right approach I personally believe. On a sidenote, Evan and I recently ended up hiring a copywriter for one of our projects and it was surprisingly costly for both of us and learned how hard it is to come up with good salesletter.
