Why can't I copy and paste anymore? Why can't I copy and paste anymore? - I used to read someone's post, and if I wanted to respond to it I would copy the relevant sentence or paragraph, then go to the bottom of the page, hit repy, paste what I'd copied, and then do my reply. Now it seems all the posts are copy protected or something, so all you can do is QUOTE the entire post and respond to it ... and like Buzz I can't copy from my own post to put something lower down in the same post... For whatever reason you've instituted this new feature (were people copying posts and putting them on other websites?) it's kind of annoying.
Blog printing service idea - need your opinion Blog printing service idea - need your opinion - I have an idea of a service that will allow users to subscribe blogs updates and receive them by regular mail. Here's how it works: 1) a blog owner registers his RSS feed, set price, how often updates are issued and other parameters. After registration he gets HTML code of a button that he needs to insert into his blog. 2) a blog reader can click this "subscribe a hard copy" button on the blog. He will be transfered to the subscription page, where he fills in his address, credit card info and so on. After this he will be receiving a printed copy of new posts from this blog biweekly. It will be a booklet with 15-20 pages of legal size. The blog owners will then receive what user payed for the subscription minus some small fee for the service. A blog owner is free to set any price for his content assuming that printing and mailing of one booklet is about $1. What do you think?
Write a great headline Write a great headline - Whether it's online or on paper, I think a great headline (with a good picture if possible) can draw a reader into the body copy. In "The Copywriter's Handbook", Robert Bly says "On average, five times as many people read the headline as read the body copy...The best headlines appeal to people's self-interest, or give news...Your headline can perform four different tasks: 1. Get attention. 2. Select the audience. 3. Deliver a complete message. 4. Draw the reader into the body copy." (pg. 15 & 16). Personally, I only read Yahoo! or online news if there's a captivating headline.
Re: Vista? Re: Vista? - [quote="tracyselena":14rzth14]Don't bother....get a Mac instead...you'll have a lot less headaches. I used a pc for years and spent far too much of my time dealing with fixing, rebooting, installing and waiting. My MacBook is great. I never have to reboot due to a crash, didn't even have to install my printer, just plugged it in and it was there ready to print. It's fast, friendly & fun.[/quote:14rzth14] That's great tracyselena but it would take more time for Windows based entrepreneurs to sit down and learn how to use the Dock (instead of Start) and Macintosh OS procedures when compared to rebooting and installing once or twice a month. I will admit that there are a lot of advantages to Macs IF you have the time to learn a new way of doing things on a Mac computer (easy wireless networking and printer installation through Airport Express), but why try to fix things when processes are streamlined enough?
Articles Articles - My best step, without question, was developing a skill around writing - articles expecially. Up to 2 years ago I'd written nothing, I was a scientist for goodness sakes - now I love to write anywhere and then utilize it to build my businesses. In fact, if you have a website, you can utilize every page of your site to create a 500 word article. Just take the copy, tweak it, come up with a catchy title and off you go. You can even put the articles on here, though for maximum exposure I suggest Ezinearticles.com and you can do it for free!
