You just gave the teacher a gift of 15 minutes of engaging instructional time. Let the teacher know that she is appreciated with a kind note or a few words. Being generous to your child's teacher is the right thing to do - but if your child gets in trouble or needs extra help, you will be glad that you've been helping her with her very difficult job all year long.
