Time is a scarce thing and I do my best to steal as much as possible. This last Sunday I managed to play polo, eat brunch and spend time with people who are important to me at the Will Rogers State Historic Park in the Pacific Palisades. It was a fun day for me. Productive, and I was able to give the gift of unpretentious polo (which it should be) to a group of people I care about. I invited my cousin Danny and his son Reno, daughter Mia and wonderful wife who were visiting L.A. I had wanted to meet Weezer front man Rivers Cuomo and Disney producer Todd Liebman, who had both read the book and reached out. I probably wouldn't have been able to see my family or meet these new people if I hadn't invited them all to polo. It was my typical social setting, this one including staff admins, rich horsey people and stable hands, famous singers, etc. all in one happy and excited group. Finally, I always long to see my little friend Dakota, my friend JP's little adorable daughter. She is my sushi pal from way back.
