Ferrazzi is also an acclaimed speaker and CEO of Ferrazzi Greenlight, a consulting and professional development firm that helps organizations drive growth through relationships. Earlier in his career, he was chief marketing officer at Deloitte Consulting and the youngest to be tapped for partner in the firm's history. Then, upon joining Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Ferrazzi was the youngest CMO in the Fortune 500. He also served as CEO of YaYa Media before founding Ferrazzi Greenlight. |

I was recently asked, "What do you think it is about life that you love so much as to make your life about bettering it and bettering the lives of other people?"
I think my passion for personal growth comes from three places. One is my insecurity. As a kid, I felt "less than." And it drove me to push harder and work harder.... In order not to feel "less than." It was a formula my dad gave me. It didn't work on the insecurity, but it did make me a success. I was just a more successful insecure guy. The motivator, however for giving first came from my religious upbringing and my parents generous Judeo-Christian values they instilled in me. They were always a generous family to each other and externally. Big hearts. Finally, however, my practice of meditation and exploration of eastern spiritual practices has brought me more peace and a real desire to bring a contribution to the world, which I am happy to say has brought me even more success than my old strategy of struggling!
