I’m back and feeling better!

Article Overview: When the Supreme Technician (that’s me) wanders around the world, speaking, shouting, screaming and whispering the mantra of extreme entrepreneurship and the Age of The Entrepreneur, exhorting everyone in sight to wake up and to see the roses (before smelling them), life takes its toll, oh yes it does, and my voice goes with it, grinding down to dust, to squeals, to scratchy itchings, and with it goes my imagination which says, oh, no, will I ever be able to speak again?

I’m back and feeling better!

When the Supreme Technician (that’s me) wanders around the world, speaking, shouting, screaming and whispering the mantra of extreme entrepreneurship and the Age of The Entrepreneur, exhorting everyone in sight to wake up and to see the roses (before smelling them), life takes its toll, oh yes it does, and my voice goes with it, grinding down to dust, to squeals, to scratchy itchings, and with it goes my imagination which says, oh, no, will I ever be able to speak again?

Take for example my speech at the First Entrepreneur Gathering of its kind in Phoenix, Arizona, where 465 of the most excited, passionate, powerful entrepreneurs, capitalists, money makers, friends, professors, executives and students assembled to give homage to The Age of the Entrepreneur®, each other and the extraordinarily exciting new venture that I'm deep in the middle of, the first, the only, four year accredited College of Entrepreneurship founded by my friend and now partner, Peter Burns III, in partnership with an equally entrepreneurial educational venture, Grand Canyon University.

I spoke for an hour - more like whispering than speaking, since my voice had completely given out the day before - but, as I spoke, my voice seemed to say, fear not, Michael, I'm with you, we can do this thing, and it grew deeper, and stronger and carried the day.

We, my voice and I (my heart and my head were in there as well) spoke about dreaming of the entrepreneurial kind. We talked about my new vision, shared by Peter Burns III, who is President of the College, and Brent (name) who is founder and Chairman and CEO of Grand Canyon University, which is to raise the level of entrepreneurship to a completely new paradigm. That the entrepreneurs of the future - they were alive and well and grinning from ear to ear in Phoenix that day - will be focused on conceiving of new companies that will transform the world. These companies in the generations ahead will not be built to create wealth, but to build deep and lasting value for the people who buy from them and work in them and fund them. Value of the human kind. Yes, in The Age of The Entrepreneur, which I predict will last a good 200 years, people of every kind will suddenly discover the entrepreneur within them and learn how to nourish their imagination, their passion, their ability to invent unbelievably exciting new companies that work better than companies ever have before. That’s what the College of Entrepreneurship will provide its students, the knowledge and experience they will need to become what I call Masters of Business Design ®. No, not MBAs but MBDs! The only advanced degree worthy of an emerging entrepreneurial class throughout the world.

What’s more, I spoke about the indisputable fact that we all have an entrepreneur within us. Which means we all have the latent ability to create an entirely new world.

And it is that latent ability and the empassioned awakening of the entrepreneur within the millions upon millions of people worldwide that will fuel The Age of The Entrepreneur and transform the economic reality of billions of us folks everywhere we are found on this wonderful globe of ours.

So, join me, all of you, to bring The Dreaming Room® to your community, to awaken the spirit of entrepreneurship in every one you know. I can assure you, as you do, the world will take a turn, not for the better, but for the unimaginable, wherever you and they are.

Re: Obama or Mcain will not change anything Re: Obama or Mcain will not change anything - I seriously hope I'm wrong, because I'm usually very positive about everything, but I have a BAD feeling that we're going to have to hit rock bottom before we can climb back to the top of this economical ladder. I think the US is blind to the fact that we are losing the war of economics. We owe so many other nations money (esp. China) that soon they will be able to take over everything and we won't have to worry about who WE want for president. We're posing PHYSICAL wars and not even realizing that we're getting stomped on MONETARILY. As I said, I hope I'm so wrong.......just got a strange feeling in me. Anyone else feeling it?
Re: How to Stay Motivated Re: How to Stay Motivated - I think this topic is crucial because often, at least with me, if I'm feeling unmotivated I also feel frustrated. For me, the best way to deal with this is to take a step back and ask myself why I'm feeling this way? And when I'm frustrated I often retreat to the gym, where I can work it all out and surprisingly afterwards I feel calmer, reenergized and I'm able to confront the feelings. What about motivating others, how would you go about doing that?
Re: Welcome, Mal Tindle, our new forum moderator Re: Welcome, Mal Tindle, our new forum moderator - Hi GT, Yes I think I have re-charged the batteries a little but in this business I often feel a little guilty about the things I should be doing back at home especially as I have just been accepted as a moderator. I have been in Spain for a week with the guys which has become something of an annual trip to watch the local fiestas in Benidorm and immerse ourselves in the local culture (or at least that’s what we say we are going to do, LOL). I have never been a one for taking a laptop on holiday as I think that defeats the point but I must admit that just being accepted as a new moderator I did feel that I should keep in touch. My last memory before coming home was sitting in a beachside bar watching the late afternoon sun go down listening to some great 60’s music from the resident band made me think, hmmm, maybe later. I am now back in wet and miserable UK and missing that feeling already but I am now back in the saddle and not feeling so guilty anymore. regards Mal.
Re: Moderators on vacation Re: Moderators on vacation - Hi Tanny Great to see you back again and hope you are all rested and ready to work until your next break. It's lovely to be able to take breaks and come back refreshed and energized. Annely I hope you are feeling better, just don't overdo it until you are 100% again. MichelleJ
