America's Most Wanted Workers

Many companies are cutting jobs, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of jobs out there.

As more workers from the Baby Boomer generation retire, millions of jobs are becoming available in a variety of industries and managers are having trouble filling those positions.

Many times, it’s because today’s young professionals are more focused on careers that require critical thinking and computer skills rather than jobs that require working with their hands. Often, it’s just a lack of qualified candidates.

In any case, according to Manpower Inc.’s Talent Shortage Survey, some of the jobs most in need of qualified workers right now include sales representatives and teachers, accountants and management executives.

For people who like manual labor, there are lots of openings for mechanics and freight truck drivers, machine operators and construction laborers, delivery drivers and engineering technicians.

So, yes, it’s a tough job market out there, but not if you know where to look.

I voted, and now all I see are the results, with no chance to vote again.

Voice/Fax broadcasting....what do you think? Voice/Fax broadcasting....what do you think? - Wanted to get a gauge of what everyone thought about these to marketing techniques. I realize they are annoying and even on the edge of being illegal. But, does anyone employ either of these with good results? Does anyone base a large part of their business on these? I have recently done mailers that have low yield but good results overall...in other words they paid for themselves. But, that is not good enough. I want better margins. I know that only a very small percentage of people will opt-in to a fax broadcast or voice broadcast but is it cheaper per lead than mailers? And if so does the reward outweigh the headache?
