The Trump Entrepreneur Initiative Blog

For the first blog for The Trump Entrepreneur Initiative, I'd like to start with some basics that will help anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur. My father, Fred C. Trump, who was a real estate developer, gave me some great advice, great because the advice was not only solid, but it worked. In fact, it still works. 1. He always told me to "know everything you can about what you're doing." In other words, be thorough. I watched him and he definitely practiced what he preached. He knew everything about construction and could show carpenters shortcuts. He was very focused as well as thorough.

2. From an early age, my father impressed upon me that "the most important thing in life is to love what you're doing, because that's the only way you'll ever be really good at it." This is absolutely true, and that's why I so often mention that passion is necessary if you want to be successful. If you love what you're doing, the difficulties and setbacks will be much easier to handle. Passion can give you a great resiliency.

3. My father had a Four-Step Formula for work:

• Get in

• Get it done

• Get it done right

• Get out

That formula is one reason he was so efficient. It's also one reason I'm known for getting things done. Keep this formula in mind and you'll discover how much time you can save.

Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategy Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategy - Hi David, I agree about the Blogosphere. You have a smaller group that Blog, but do so on the premise that they think they should, but have never really considered the purpose of their Blog. Then I think there are a few SEO or Internet Marketing types that see Blogging as just another link building strategy. But the largest group of Bloggers, tend to be people who enjoy writing and discussing their topics of interest. Blogging is good for link building, but the true Blogger is a breed apart from the rest. They want to dialog, to debate, to have feedback and they are very willing to link to other worthwhile conversations that are relevant to their topic. I agree with you. These group of Bloggers obviously are passionate about their writing and together, they create huge conversation trails interactive and travel from Blog to Blog. But the evidence is clear with this group that loves what they write about. With comments enabled on a Blog and having a Blog tuned to a specific purpose you already have the evidence of original Social Media.
An Entrepreneur News forum? An Entrepreneur News forum? - I posted up some info about Trump Towers recent financing acquirement for Trump Toronto. Then I thought, what about having a forum where BIG news items can be posted. This is obviously not for self-promos (unless you are in a multi-billion dollar deal...) but news clips that can be read and learned from?
Trump's Favourite Books Trump's Favourite Books - In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Donald Trump said he enjoyed reading biographies: "I like to read about philosophers - particularly Socrates, who emphasizes you should follow the convictions of your own conscience, which basically means thinking for yourself, a philosophy I tend to agree with." Just an interesting factoid...So, even Trump looks to those who came before him for strategies of success!
EvanCarmichael.com suggestion EvanCarmichael.com suggestion - Maybe I missed it but I would like to suggest that a Blog be created to support the Forum. The idea is that in the blog you put in snippets of some of the biggest conversations with a 'read more' link to the forum itself. Setting up the Blog and clipping some conversations onto it wouldn't take very long.
